How to Get There
I love me a good IC hotels and this is a great one. The valet parking is super convenient and makes it easy at the heart of the Cannery Row. The hotel is located facing the beautiful bay, you can easily spot some sea otters and if you are fortunate, maybe some whales or dolphins.
Staff at the check in counter are friendly, courteous, and professional but down to earth. Mr. John West took good care of us at the check in. Our room was quiet not ready yet, so he had made an arrangement for us to enjoy cocktails while we waited. Thanks!
The room is spacious, clean, and smells good. Nice in-room amenities from complimentary bottles of water, Nespresso machines, toiletries, and plenty of towels. It was also a nice touch that they called to welcome us the Platinum members and if we needed anything. We really felt we were taken care of and they took good care of us.
Checking out was a breeze. Valet pick up takes 15-20 min so make sure you call ahead to pick up your car. We did that so by the time we came town, our car was just pulling up.
All in all, great service, we had a superb experience. This is the hotel to stay if you are coming to the Monterey Bay Area.
Saturday am- "Let's go to lunch in Carmel"
On the drive- "Let's stay over". Could only find room at the Intercontinental, Great, we stayed there before.
After lunch, check in- "Only two rooms with what we want"
Photos say the rest... Great Time!
if you are thinking of going to this hotel then my recommendation is 'DO IT' - i have to say i have travelled quite extensively and this hotel is by far the best. Not only are the rooms fantastic (we had a sea view room) but the staff cannot do enough for you. They are beyond pleasant and cant do enough to please. Really all hotels should be like this. Shout out to all the staff at the intercontinental you were truly amazing!
Location, location, location! Valet parking, well appointed rooms, comfortable beds, high quality linens - Did I mention the location? In the heart of Cannery Row, surrounded by the best the area has to offer.
Love this happy hour. They have amazing sparkling flight for $12 and spectacular oysters for 50% off. Tonight the service was impeccable thanks to Christy! The views are fantastic but if you sit outside bring a jacket!
