I have stayed here many times. Enjoy the upgrades done to property. Very helpful staff & pleasant. Great conference site. Our family enjoys the restaurant. The sports bar looks fun too. Healthy, local menu items available. Lovely grounds, prepare for short walks between areas but carts available for assist.

We arrived early and our room was ready to go. A Staff member let my daughter know there was a kids table nearby and helped her and my son pick out toys. On our way to our room, another staff member gave the kids marshmallow roasting kits and sticks for the fire pits. On our way out the vallet asked if we needed help finding our room. The crib we requested was waiting in our room, set up with a clean sheet, which I can honestly say NEVER happens. The kids loved the giant connect four game, ping pong and giant jenga set up by the pool. We booked the room with points and were charged nothing. No resort fee, not parking fee - what a pleasant surprise!

We had no expectations for the Hyatt Monterey but were pleasantly surprised. Check-in was very easy. Desk staff was friendly and answered all of our questions with a smile. It was a Saturday so there was complimentary beer, which my husband loved! No one was rowdy about it but definitely a nice way to start the trip. The hotel had a fire pit and provide complimentary s'mores for roasting that was great. There is a poll and hot tub. The hot tub was always full but we did venture down one evening. This is a kid-friendly hotel. We did not have kids with us so we were not thrilled to see all of the kids in the lobby and in the lounge area but it is Monterey so hard to complain. There was live music on Sat night. Lounge was nice for a drink. TusCa was ok; nothing great but ok. We also ate at Knuckles the sports bar. It was typical sports bar fare (good) and we loved all the tvs and popcorn machine. Just wait until about 8 p.m. and the mass of kids will be gone! Rooms were nice and clean. Staff was very friendly. We thought this would be a basic hotel but we left saying that we would be back the next time we were in Monterey. Great trip!

Great weekend getaway

This is my second (or third?) visit to this property in Monterey. It's set away from the bustle of Cannery Row, but it's still very close to all the action which is less than two miles away. The property offers a peaceful respite from the normal vacation frenetics--which you can easily jump into at your heart's content.

The property offers a choice of restaurants from a simple but tasty sit down to the raucousness of a sports bar (Knuckles). The rooms are well appointed and up-to-date. There are two pools on different sides of the property to provide equal access to anyone interested in partaking.

The staff is friendly and helpful. And with the golf course in the hotel's "back yard", you can play a round of golf and simply stroll directly to your room after finishing your round.

I'll definitely be visiting again!

I had a great experience at this hotel. We flew into the Monterey Airport and the hotel provided complimentary shuttle service to and from the Airport, with a minimal wait once we got off the plane. We had a problem with the heater in the room, because the room was cold. I called the Front Desk at 2:00 am and they said they would have staff deliver an electric heater to the room. The heater arrived in 10-15 minutes, and it kept the room nice and warm.
