Nice Place

This is a great place to stay in Monterrey. It's Pricey, but you get what you pay for. Spend the extra few bucks and enjoy your stay. The staff were great. I'm not a golfer, but the course looks nice.

Standard visit

This hotel is a couple of miles away from the central areas of Monterey and you need a car.

It’s right near the highway so depending on which room you get you can hear road noises. It also seemed to be near an airport and plane noises were quite loud.

The pool was small but there weren’t many people using it. It’s mainly a conference hotel and golfing resort.

Rooms were clean and there was a fridge which was a bonus. Walls were thin as we could hear the kids in the next room and ceilings creaking every time someone walked in the room upstairs.

If I were to come to Monterey again, I’d look into staying near cannery row.

Poor value
Reviewed 5 days ago

We found the motel poor value, rooms in need of decoration and updating, it doesn’t seem to fit the brand and would recommend that if visiting the area to look elsewhere. Maybe if you are a golfer it may be ok, couldn’t comment, didn’t eat here , went into Cannery Row, tried to have drink but were told that the bar was shut, it was 21:55, alternate , noisy bar open, but by this point we had had enough of the place. I complained to reception on checking in, no option, it is what it is, so, here is my review.

Renovated rooms and nice grounds!
Reviewed 6 days ago

The grounds of the hotel are really nice and spacious, we hung out on the front patio of the lobby building on the evening of our stay. The room we stayed in was obviously recently renovated as it had newer fixtures and was very clean, with luxurious feeling amenities. This is one of the nicest Hyatts we have ever stayed at and we would stay here again!

Good staff, aged infrastructure.

The hotel clearly shows age. One can here loud noises when doors close or other large items or groups are moving around. We experienced vibrations and loud noises 5-6 times everyday. The TV froze every so often and the staff was not able to fix it. The standalone A/C unit (yes, standalone; the hotel doesn't have central cooling) didn't work for over 2 days. Staff eventually replaced it but it took more than 6 complaints.

Staff is polite and clearly tries to help in ways they can. Hotel was not very accommodating to compensate for issues we faced. Just waived off resort fees.
