How to Get There
We have been to Monaco as invited for an event and the stay left us with a bittersweet taste.
Public areas are beautiful, wonderful fragrance over all the building, some areas may need a little bit of extra love ( gym , changing rooms etc.).
Service big disappointment. You expect perfection when you enter this kind of building.
We did order room service one afternoon and when we asked for a bottle of sparkly water.. the lady over the phone pointed out that there were 3 kinds of sparkling water ( san Pellegrino, badoit and another one that I don't remember )...and I have asked the difference ( not that I do personally care but just because you mentioned ...it means that you should know ) , and she said " the price" ....oh boy boy... seriously ? is that the best answer you can come up with ? a little bit of training maybe could be better and leave a better taste to your guests.
We came back the second night around 11.30 pm and there was a terrible construction noise just outside our windows... walls were shaking... we waited a little bit and then we called reception to see if they knew anything about.
The receptionist became very difensive and it mentioned that it was outside the hotel.
I am not questioning that the noise were from outside the hotel and out of hotel control...but when you allocate rooms.... you know exactly who gets what.
he told us that the noise would have stopped in half hour...but he kept going till 3.30 am and we kept waking up , fell to sleep, and waking up.
When we checked out the lady asked how our stay was, and we mentioned the issue from the night before and she didnt know that there were construction outside...seriously? there is crave, tens of workers, noise , and you want to make me believe that you guys didnt know about that ?
luckily there was another lady checking out next to us and she mentioned the same thing.
breakfast was ok with the majority of waiters being Italian.
i would defenetely no go back, very impersonal and interested in volume only vs. quality.
It is a very nice hotel in a very nice location - for the rich and famous perhaps. As a business traveler on a modest salary paying 16€ a liter for water (10x the price of gasoline) is nothing short of extortion, especially when elsewhere in the world classy hotels offer a bottle or two of water for free each night. It’s the same with WiFi. A very dated system, charging for any decent capacity and for more than 2 devices. The rooms were very nice. The bed very comfortable but I was here on business and business travelers kinda expect a desk. A coffee machine would be nice, an iron and ironing board.
A lovely hotel distinctly lacking the basics of accommodating business travelers.
This has to be one of my favourite hotels in the world , we had a suite overlooking the marina, the views was amazing , the hotel staff were outstanding they couldn’t do enough for us , it was our anniversary and they put a beautiful cake in our room , we had a issue with the bed linen and they resolved the issue within minutes and also gave us a bottle of champagne for the inconvenience ( which was nothing ) the spa is outstanding and the views are just amazing, I had a massage and it was fabulous, breakfast was delicious and the crystal bar was elegant and very tasteful , I would go as far to say this hotel has to be one of the best in the world .
This hotel is heavenly hence the title of review. Have stayed a number of times; everything from the rooms (recommended Sea View with Terrace) to the restaurant for dinner, and the spa are sublime. Service friendly and impeccable as you would expect and perfect location in heart of Monte close to shopping & of course casinos.
Ultra glam hotel in Monte Carlo! The service, rooms, views, vibes are just unreal! We had such a fantastic time with you and can’t wait to come back! 5 star service! Beautiful food, drinks and impressive spa!
