How to Get There
This hotel is so beautiful! The location is perfect as it’s a short walk to the casino, shopping and good restaurants. The service was so great and you can tell the management cares about the guests. We got an ocean view room and it was just beautiful. I recommend this hotel for couples or families. Access to the indoor pool/terrace is convenient and nice to unwind.
We spent a night here with our 2 kids. Beautiful hotel. Hadn’t realised there wasn’t an outdoor pool but the complimentary access to the Monaco Beach club was great. All in all we thought it was very good value and a stunning hotel and lovely service.
When trying to book the Hotel Hermitage, beware of being deceived. Their calendar shows the price per day (which of course vary daily depending on "demand"), but when you click to book your selected days, a much HIGHER total is generated than the total of the days that you chose. Upon request, the Management pointed out that a small disclaimer in the bottom left hand corner states "prices from". This 'disclaimer' is of course not even visible on a mobile device screen, and neither on your laptop - UNLESS you scroll down. This 'cheap' scam is not something one expects from a 5 star Hotel in Monaco. Wonder why they would resort to displaying prices that don't exist? I pointed out to the "management" that I think they are running a cheap scam. Imagine seeing a car advertised at a price, but when you buy it, they charge you double? Or an airline displaying the ticket prices, but when you go to 'check-out', the total is much more? Come'on Hotel Hermitage, you are eroding your once good image. I certainly will never attempt to book with you again.
Excellent hotel in every sense.
Out check in was extremely pleasant - Marc at check in made sure we have a room very quickly (even though we were early), he also gave us an upgrade to a suite and escorted us personally to it. That is what I call service!
The view from the room was to die for! Check the pictures...
Breakfast was exquisite at a 2 Michelin stars restaurant! Beautiful selection at the buffet and great breakfasts to order.
The interiors of the hotel are extremely charming - beautiful flowers everywhere.
The cherry on the cake is the restaurant/Bar/Club - Bagatel is an absolute must!!! Go club there.
Hotel Hermitage was an excellent hotel with an opulent, stunning interior that radiated with Belle Epoque style. The rooms in the Excelsior building are renovated, and ours was beautiful. Plus many rooms, like ours, had wonderful views of the harbor, palace, and sea. Our room had a Juliet balcony, but some have larger balconies with bistro sets, so ask ahead if the balcony and/or view is important to you. Breakfast was very good, but not amazing. We actually enjoyed nearby cafes more than the food at the hotel, but we did not each in the famous restaurant (which I am sure is excellent). The location is perfect; right in the heart of Monte Carlo. The service was very good, and the concierge especially was very kind and helpful. L'Hermitage was an all-around excellent hotel with a stunning atmosphere. Never was it too busy or loud; though it is very large, it feels controlled and exclusive (not a tourist trap, but a quality experience).
