Amazing Penthouse Suite

Just wanted to say Thank You to William Givens! He went above and beyond to save date night for us after my husband had accidentally booked the wrong night. We had a wonderful time! The penthouse was beyond anything we imagined. A gorgeous bathroom with separate tub and shower, a pool table and a great view of the city.

Love the Westin!

Second time staying at the Westin and we love it! My sons been having to go to drs appointments in St Louis and knowing we will be in such a nice room is such a relief. Clean and the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in! All the staff is very professional, as well. Definitely recommend!

Horrendous experience. Won't stay again!

Initially stayed in the Westin St. Louis in July 2011 and gave it glowing reviews. Unfortunately, it appears that 8 years later, the magic is gone. My wife and I returned to the Westin St. Louis for a one night stay and had the worst hotel experience of our lives. Then, as if it couldn't get any worse, the follow up customer service was just as bad.

Let's get right to it. The worst thing that happened is that I caught a drunken hotel guest urinating in front of my door during the middle of the night. I notified hotel staff and while they were apologetic, they were slow to act and I do not believe they ever took action against the disgusting person. After a call and a visit to the front desk, a security officer eventually came up (approx. 20 min after the incident...she was nice and apologetic) but wrote the incident off to drunken guests causing mischief. I repeatedly asked for someone to come and clean up the mess but I don't believe it ever happened.

In addition to that, we discovered hair in the bathtub upon our arrival. (Someone from housekeeping was dispatched to re-clean the tub.) My wife arrived to an empty valet booth and after waiting several minutes had to go to the front desk to get someone to park the car. When we checked out, the desk clerk didn't even care enough to ask how our stay went.

I left a verified review on the Westin - St. Louis website but it was never published and I did not initially receive any type of response about my complaints. I then sent a letter to hotel management that outlined the issues with my stay. An apology was given and I was offered a free stay. After talking to my wife, we agreed to take the hotel up on its offer and hope for a better outcome. However, when I replied to the email with the requested date(s), I never received a response. So much for customer service. Won't be staying there again and it this gives me pause at staying at any Westin or Marriott in the future.
