How to Get There
My adult daughters and I stayed at the Moonrise this weekend for a mother/daughter getaway. We arrived at the hotel and were immediately greeted by Natalie who was managing the check in desk. That's when the party got started! Natalie provided some "Moon Juice" to us upon check in and fit right in, sharing conversation and jokes with us while she got our room squared away (my daughter thought it would be fun to book one king bed for the three of us, thankfully Natalie got us moved to two queens before that disaster could happen). We set out for dinner and drinks, hitting several locations on the Loop within walking distance. We came back to the hotel for some more quality time with Natalie and she recommended we head into the bar to visit her friend Will who was bartending. Again, an amazing experience visiting with Will and the other bartenders who were fun and made some fabulous drinks! The hotel was clean and comfortable and in a great location, but the staff made this more than a destination, they made it an experience. Great memories that will last a lifetime! Thanks Natalie and Will and the rest of the Moonrise staff!
I was visiting saint Louis with friends and we loved the lobby. The roof top bar and grille was a nice added touch. The music was a bit loud upstairs but overall the stay was pleasant. We enjoyed our stay. The room was average. It was very plain in the room. They should consider adding colors to the room. It's just very plain and needs more. Staff was nice too.
The Delmar loop is a fun, hip little area and this hotel is the perfect central place to stay. And bonus: it was right next door to out concert at The Pageant! Walking distance to art shops and fun fusion restaurants.
This hotel is in a really cute area with tons of restaurants, bars, and local shops. Pretty walkable neighborhood. I love that all the decor inside is moon and space-related! It has a retro vibe and everyone was incredibly kind. Rooftop bar is cool, it was cold out so we didn’t take advantage of staying up there long.
If you stay here, please know that the rooftop bar is on the 8th floor. Don’t stay on the 7th floor unless you’re cool with hearing their loud music until they close. We were apparently directly under it, and it was so loud it kept us up after we got in from a concert. I’d just request not to stay on the 7th floor. It was annoying enough to deduct a star. That, and the fact that the alarm clock in the room was set for 7am (not by us) and robbed us of some quiet sleep before breakfast and a drive home.
Super hotel that is top notch from check in to check out. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and a pleasant bar for cocktails/appetizers. Located near the Pageant and Delmar Hall for music lovers attending concerts and nearby restaurants. Didn’t eat at the hotel restaurant, but expect it is as good as everything else here. Highly recommended.
