How to Get There
Nothing special here. Fun tunnels to union station and decent location. But odd staff. Sports bar wouldn’t let us eat our wedding cake the night of our wedding. Weird, strict interpretation of the rule after bringing them thousands of dollars over a couple days with dozens of room purchased. Stay somewhere else. Plenty of better hotels in KC
I have been staying at this hotel for years -- even before it became a Sheraton.. (It used to be a Hyatt.) My most recent stay was in June 2019.Two things: the cordless phone in the room must be from the 1990s. Seriously? It's time to replace it. For at least the second time during one of my stays, the power in a portion of my room went off. (I lost TV reception.) It was not caused by me, but probably by a circuit overload by another guest. (That was confirmed by a hotel engineer.) For it to happen again is annoying. Also, I had to call down to get a breakfast hang tag to order my breakfast. Unfortunately, even after calling, it never came. The maid did not leave one the next day either, so I asked at the front desk on my next pass-through the lobby. The biggest plus was the bargain I found on Hotwire.
Service, gym, and room were great overall. Very comfy bed. However, I had trouble getting to sleep with the constantly dripping faucet. Once I got to sleep, I kept waking up chilly because my heat didn't work. Beautiful area, but for the price of a room, one should be able to g et a great night's sleep.
Didn’t choose this hotel, the company in charge of the conference did! I’m so glad they did! This hotel was perfect spot to say at! So close to everything! Within minutes from Midtown, Country Club plaza, River Market, Crossroads, and Power and Light! Union station is within walking distance! There’s a streetcar that runs all the way to River Market, and it’s free! There’s also a covered walkway, called the link that can bring you to the crown center plaza with shoppers and dining options. The link can also take you to the Westin Hotel and to Union station. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the pillow were fluffy! The view from the room on the 33rd floor was beautiful! Lobby is spacious with plenty of lounging area! Saw the pool, but didn’t have time. It does need a little refreshing, especially the laundry area! The staff were all friendly and the concierge, extremely helpful! Will come back to this hotel for the next conference!
I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and each time I had a very comfortable stay. The staff is very courteous and their service is prompt. The rooms are spacious, clean and offer a good view of the city. The hotel is conveniently located near Crown Center, additionally their shuttle service can pick/drop you within 2/3 blocks. I have always had a great time and definitely wouldn't mind staying here again.
