How to Get There
Great views, good service. A little out dated. Walls are peeling a little bit and have water stains on them. The bathroom is clean but could use some updating as well. Overall would stay at this hotel again.
I stay here regularly for a professional meeting - quiet, staff is excellent - always friendly and helpful. A number of restaurants within walking distance. Conference rooms are spacious. Room had a great view of downtown Kansas City!
We stayed for a friend’s birthday party at Power and Light. Room was nice, but a little noisy and the curtains didn’t fit the window well allowing sunlight to filter in. The biggest issue was the hall; there was trash and food/dishes when we arrived (about 16:30), when we returned after a night out (around 2:30), and then when we checked out (around 9:30). One of the other couples had old fries in their room upon checkin. BUT the free shuttle was great!
Elevators are painfully slow and it’s tough to get breakfast. The wait for an elevator was excessive; sometimes over 20 minutes. A elevator service guy told us that those elevators are dinosaurs. Unless you’re going to drive somewhere, there are not many breakfast choices. Every eating place was full with long waits. My opinion is that the hotel is not ready to be at capacity. Staff is great and very nice. Room was ok. Location was nice.
Hôtel and personnel is 4 stars. Bad point Spectactor restaurant has very little choice for meals. Even for breakfast à la carte was unavailable so it was the buffet only. Also room service took for granted that everybody went “green”
And they did not make the bed. When I spend that kind of money on a room I expect the bed to be made.
