If you have an issue don’t expect a response

This is a hard review, the location of the property is terrific. The problem is that I have been a Hilton Diamond member for well over a decade and I had a very poor experience with housekeeping, more specifically with my do not disturb sign on was walked in on and disturbed not once, not twice but three times. I contacted the front desk, called the assistant general manager (Amber Boos) and emailed Amber twice and ZERO response. Beyond disappointed and despite the positives I would not stay again because the leadership of this property is not up to the standard that I have otherwise experienced with Curio properties, which means that if the leadership doesn’t care it will transcend down to the rest of the staff - lead by example or fail by example and in this situation I’m less than impressed.

No breakfast, in room amenities seemed to be an afterthought and construction noise outside began a bright and early 4 AM every morning. The hotel was beautiful with shuffleboard available free of cost. Location near to activities.

Wedding Weekend

While the hotel is absolutely beautiful and so is the speakeasy below there were some/many flaws. The price for the hotel doesn’t compare to the lack of service received by the company. We booked a block through customer service, which cancelled family members rooms without confirming with them, the hotel never sent our family a notice stating their rooms had been cancelled...by the way there were 4-6 rooms cancelled. The gal that works at the Speakeasy was absolutely awful, to not only myself (bride), but family and friends. Many individuals mentioned to me her service or lack their of was very apparent. We still 2 weeks later have guests complaining about how rude she was. I fully understand the weekend was packed, as it was a Chiefs vs. Packers game as well as many other events going on in the Downtown Kansas City area but has some decency to act like you appreciate those around you no matter how unbearable your day is going. A friend mentioned their room had mold in it, which from a Hilton Property; frankly I expect more from. Even the service at the restaurant the morning after was subpar, my order came out wrong and missed an item. When the server went into the kitchen, he yelled the mistake that everyone at our table could hear.

We will not return.
