Wonderful renovation
Reviewed 2 days ago

Hilton has done a great job modernizing the old hotel -- staff great, room larger than expected for an old building. Drum Room great place to have a drink but wish they had more history layout of the original when Sinatra, etc. performed there. Have not stayed in downtown KC in long time but was surprised now that at night people out walking around restaurants, bars, etc.

Ok stay horrible customer service!

We stayed at this hotel after going to a concert. The room was small but ok. We used our Hilton Honors points so the room didn't cost us anything. After we got home I inquired about the pillows because I wanted to purchase one. I have neck problems but slept so well thanks to the pillows at this particular hotel. To date I have made EIGHT phone calls and finally gave up! I spoke with someone in management who even called me back and told me: "I just want you to know that we aren't ignoring you!" She told me that someone from housekeeping would either email or call me that day and never did. After EIGHT phone calls and talking to various people and getting disappointed each time I finally gave up. I expected more from the Hilton brand! I recently stayed at a Hilton hotel in Florida and found out the brand of pillow so I am finally able to purchase one. It apparently isn't a secret there like it is here in Kansas City. We stayed there in July and I called from July until September until finally giving up. Will I stay at the Hilton President again? Doubtful, not after being a loyal Hilton Honors member and being treated like a second class citizen!

Short trip, great stay

Great downtown location walking distance to conference centers, restaurants and coffee shops. As expected, Hilton level quality, clean rooms, friendly staff and overall pleasant accommodations. Only stayed one night but it's always a great experience with Hilton.

Outstanding Hotel and Staff

Nicely renovated with all the amenities one would expect. The staff was helpful and always there. The wait staff, cleaning staff, and valet were top notch. We would recommend this Hotel for your next trip to KC.
