Tracie (spelling may be wrong) 5 star Front Desk Attendant

I had a tough week, and the moment I walked up to the counter I was greeted with a smile and conversation. She even laughed at my dry jokes, lol! I greatly appreciated her service. In the 15 years I’ve stayed at this Ameristar I’ve never had that fun of a welcoming at the front desk. Very pleasant and professional, yet human. Nice to experience something outside of business as usual. Thank you!

Beautiful city....friendly people,..great food
the hotel and casino were a little out-dated I thought but had a great time
my experience at the airport was a little claustrophobic due to the building of a new airport...not much room to walk or stand

4stars?? Really??

Booked our room through hotwire and was pretty excited to get such a good deal on a 4 star place... how does this place have 4 stars?
Furniture is beat up, bed was ok. The sheets were nice though! Bath tub looked dirty and a bit grimy. Shower curtain was a bit gross and the holders for it were all bent and looked like they would break at any point. As we were leaving this morning we noticed the fire alarm was covered with a plastic bag?? Maybe previous tenants had tried smoking in the room?? It smelled smoky, but we just figured it was because it was part of a casino. The fridge in the room was dirty and was wet inside...
We got in super late and didn’t see the casino or anything just the hotel part. I would maybe give it a 3 star or 2 1/2 but not 4.

Rundown, dirty and sketchy!

It is a shame what this property has become! Having stayed here several times before in the past up until a couple of years ago, I was confident on having great experience! Checked into a hotel room late Monday evening, the only thing open was a food court in the casino that has clearly seen better days. While ordering my meal I had people begging for spare change twice! I finally get to my room to see that it too has seen better days.. Broken and beat up furniture, a filthy bathtub, and carpet that is in need of replacement.. It was late, the beds looked comfy and it's only a 2 night stay.. I head out to my job the next morning, come back to my room only to find out that housekeeping didn't even bother cleaning my room. Tell the front desk they instantly accuse me of saying I had a privacy sign on my room which I did not, and seemed bothered by my request. I am literally shocked by how rundown this facility has become in such a short period of time! Hopefully the mgmt can turn this place around to its former glory!
