How to Get There
We picked the lodges for the upgraded amenities. One bedroom villa was perfect for our toddler and newborn. Can’t say enough about the room. Granite everywhere, washer and dryer, microwave, dining room table big enough for 6, dual access to patio from living room and master bedroom, two pull out couches, dual fireplaces, and a short walk to the pool/splash pad. You have to pay about $25 a family per day for breakfast, which wasn’t so great. Staying at the lodges, one would think that breakfast would be included.
We went to Silver Dollar City one day, and planned to go the next. We were exhausted and decided to just “stay in” on the second day. They didn’t disappoint with activities throughout the resort. From the pool/splash a torium, a small 9 hole mini golf course, and events throughout the day. We filled a whole day staying put. Having a newborn, we chose to order room service. Top notch BBQ, chicken fried steak and Mac and cheese with burnt ends.
Just a few complaints that prevented 5 stars: Nearly 13% sales tax adds quite a bit to your bill. Plus, an undisclosed $20 a day “resort fee”...which I had no idea about until it was time to check out. I was hoping to have that comped because I was blindsided by it for $100 at the end of an already pricey stay, but I just accepted it because we needed to depart. WiFi was also difficult to access because we were in a new building. It took two days of calling the front desk until I was able to reach a knowledgeable staff member to give me the WiFi network to manually type into my phone for access.
Overall, great stay minus a few hiccups and hidden charges.
We stay at Timber Ridge Condos when visiting Branson. These are Welk timeshares. It is relaxing and convenient to prepare breakfast and even an evening meal while on holiday.
During this visit we enjoyed Silver Dollar City’s Star Spangled Summer Festival, shopping, the movies and the pool at the resort. Great fun!
We stayed in a one bedroom suite and it was the perfect size for a family of 4 pull out couch and master bedroom! The full kitchen was great too. The only CON which could be addressed would be there is no latch/lock to the bathroom shower area only to the toilet, interesting design but livable.
The location is PRIME as it is not in the middle of the Bronson madness but close enough to everything.
If you've already cashed out your vacation budget on everything Branson had to offer this is the place to stay. The Splash-a-torium and pay centers kept our family busy all day. Pool side meals, movies karaoke and ping pong just to name a few we great.
This is also a shout out to the security officer who de-escalated a situation that occurred during our time at the pool. His conduct during the issue was a great reflection of the entire staff and chain mission.
We'll be back.
We would have loved this resort and given it 5 stars except for the poor quality of sleep we experienced. We had an amazing room, very clean, nice layout. Unfortunately it was on the bottom floor. We were kept up all night by the people above us. It sounded like they were walking around in high heels until about 2:30 in the morning. We were unable to sleep. It was very irritating. We called the customer service agent who apologized and said it was an ongoing issue. She then told us they would not rent it out for the rest of our stay and the manager gave us an extra night. The last two nights of our stay if was rented out though and again really had trouble with the sound coming from the above unit. I think the people working there did the best they could to help us out but sadly the structure of the building is just poor. Amazing pool area which was a plus. We would stay there again but make sure to request a top floor unit.
My family and I have stayed here multiple times and have very much enjoyed it. While they were building the new true 3 bedroom building there was construction going on but that was mentioned when we booked. We have seen he upgrades over the 3 years we've been coming here, most recently both our TV's had "Smart" capabilities when previously they did not. The organized activities are a nice touch and the game room is legit. They also have a kids club room but that may only be for owners.
I only give it 4 stars because there is always room for improvement and while each time everything has been clean, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the rooms extremely comfortable, there were very minor details that could be fixed.
Just a disclaimer, we are owners here. And when we signed up in 2015, we were promised a lot that turned out to be lies. However, all of that owner staff has been replaced and with the new Experiences/Collections by Welk and the switch to RCI, it seems that things are looking up from the Ownership side of things.
