How to Get There
We loved this resort!!! This is by far our most favorite resort on the RCI site. We will definitely be staying here again. We had 2 families with us so the 2 bedroom lockoff was a perfect fit for us. I just wish that we could exchange into this property more than once every 4 years.
We've stayed at the Welk Resort; both in the hotel and in the lodges (condos) at Timber Ridge (which is also their property behind the hotel) and we've been pleased with it all. The splash pad is perfect for kids and adults too. The game room is also good for kids and adults too. Plus you can watch movies together there if you're with a group.
The resort had very nice accommodations. It was nicely landscaped. It was gated, so not anyone could enter.
We had a two bedroom villa. There was plenty of room. When we were there (spring), the outdoor pools weren't filled. As a heads up, there was no restaurant on site.
Room was very nicely decorated and furnished. Everything you need plus things we have had to furnish in the past, like clothes and dishwasher detergent, coffee, creamer, salt and pepper, etc. Walls could have been a little thicker between rooms. We could hear Santa up late putting toys together and kids dancing with visions of sugarplums in their heads, which is my only complaint with the rooms. TV and DVD player (not Blue Ray) in LR and bedroom. Fireplace in both rooms which lit with a switch on the wall. Loved that! Did not use indoor pool or exercise room but both close and nice. Would stay again
We enjoyed a week here and had a great experience. The one thing we called about was minor and the staff attended to it immediately. Every staff person was friendly and helpful and always greeted us with a smile and hello. When the maintenance guy found out it was our daughter's birthday, he returned with balloons and a small gift. That was certainly unexpected and very kind. The unit itself was well taken care of. The kitchen was the nicest one we have found yet. There was plenty of storage room for food and plenty of counter space for preparing food. That is a nice treat while traveling. The bathroom and shower were also some of the best we have had, and the washer and dryer were in good condition also. We had a large one bedroom and had plenty of room for our family including a 5 year old and 3 year old. We refused the sales presentation because it just wasn't good timing for us to do that this time, but the lady was gracious and did not pressure us further or make us feel bad. The pool area was a nice bonus for our family also. We highly recommend this resort!
