How to Get There
I stay in this hotel at least once a year. I've watched the quality go downhill and I most likely won't return unless they do a complete turnaround. I stayed here with my daughter a few nights ago for a quick getaway for shopping and pool time. Immediately, upon entering the building we could smell a damp, moldy smell. I've noticed this on previous visits, but I believe it is getting worse.
After checking in with front desk, we made our way down to the pool. The pool bar was closed, but it was during a very slow Sunday afternoon so I kind of understand that. However, it was disappointing because this was a reason we picked this hotel. The pool was absolutely filthy. I can honestly say I've never seen such a gross pool. It had hair floating everywhere, a used bar cup, thousands of dead bugs, and leaves. Chairs and tables were dirty. Toys were floating around the pool. We finally got so grossed out that we went inside to the other pool, which proved to be clean (thank goodness). After that, we made our way up to our room (4th floor) and discovered that the hallway smelled strongly of smoke. The room had a strange odor too, but it wasn't a smoke smell. Then when we went to enjoy our balcony, that we paid extra money to have in our room, we discovered that we were right above the air conditioners that were extremely loud and our view was that of a rooftop with a slight (very slight) view of the Landing, but only if you stand and don't sit. The ac units were so loud, it was impossible to enjoy anyway. I will say the view out our windows was very nice, however, there was some kind of moisture problem inside the glass that made them hard to see out of. I did tell the front desk clerk my disappointments when I checked out and she seemed genuinely concerned about the pool and gave me free parking because of it, which I was grateful for, especially since I paid extra for a view of a rooftop and ac units. Hope they can clear these issues up. It is such a nice hotel.
We came to Branson to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary & to play golf at some of the nicest golf courses in the area! We usually come here once a year & stay somewhere different each time. We chose the Hilton Convention Center for the location & walkability of great shops & restaurants we enjoy! If you stay on Branson Landing you're kind of away from all the busyness and lines of traffic! When we arrived to our room we were very surprised to find beautiful swans on our bed & rose petals! That was so nice! The room was nice & large BUT not the room I was promised for the price! I was supposed to have a Branson Landing view and a balcony which I paid extra to have the balcony room. After a few phone calls & not getting anywhere with the man at the front desk, the manager stepped in & straightened things out. She was very polite and moved us to the proper room. It was beautiful and huge and a corner room, room 903! Of course the 1st thing my husband does is turns on the TV and it doesn't work... They quickly sent up a serviceman who worked on it for a bit and then removed the TV and brought up a brand new larger TV! Love the room, the bed was very comfy, the view was beautiful, the balcony was great to sit out, the bathroom was very roomy and everything was great! We loved the outdoor pool and that's another reason we chose this hotel! We used it each afternoon after our round of golf! I believe it was on Saturday they had a DJ play music and they had a little bar open where you could order drinks and snacks and that was a nice touch! Breakfast was not included. The price of the room was a little high but most hotels do that the busy times of year. Also we had to pay $13 a day for parking and a garage across from the hotel and they said that's part of the city's deal. They do have bellhops who help bring your luggage to your room. When I was getting ready to check out I noticed that the price of the room was wrong so I had to stop at the front desk and get that squared away. I did book over the phone directly to the hotel & there were still a few Mix-Ups...I also printed out my confirmation with the room & price and I'm glad I did because I had to show them that. I would definitely stay here again and give it another chance! Location was perfect! FYI, Cantina Laredo is a great Mexican restaurant you can walk to! Farmhouse Restaurant had a great breakfast with good prices! Buffalo Ridge is a beautiful golf course to play!
I was deeply disappointed with this hotel. I had two rooms, one for me and one for my staff member for a convention. On my first night my TV was not working and the shower was not producing hot-water. I told the guy downstairs and he sent someone to fix it who told me "you just have to let it run"! as the shower miraculously warmed up. He then re-set the TV and the picture came on and he told me that sometimes "you have to re-set them". Thinking everything would be fine, the shower would then sometimes be just a touch over cold meaning it was just warm enough to have a shower without shivering to being slightly warm. I again complained and the man on the desk explained that someone would be fixing it as there was distribution issues. I was then promised a 20% discount on my final nights stay. I stayed for five nights and the issue was not fixed and I also did not receive the discount and feel I need to let people know of my experience. I was terribly disappointed and had there not been a 48 hour no refund policy, I would have left the hotel as by night 3 I had had enough of the cold shower at such a premium rate! Not receiving my discount just made it worse.
