How to Get There
Checked in around 4pm. Mistakenly stop at casino (it is on the riverfront) thinking hotel was there also. Found out hotel was across street (also has an RV part next to it) and was easy to find (large signage with turn at stop light. Room was very clean. Only thing I didn't care for was a combined tub/shower. Nothing wrong I just prefer shower only as it is easier for me to get in. They have a shuttle that runs to casino, but I just drove as it was a very short distance. They have two entrances - one North from hotel, and a second one directly across the street. The casino has covered parking but not a lot of spaces (more non-covered spaces) with casino on first and second floors. I stayed one day as the purpose of my trip was to tour the National Cemetery (reviewed separately) and did some gambling.
Clean, comfy bed but the pillows are a lite too soft. Good location, close to the casino. Try the downtown area for restaurants and sightseeing.
Several other casinos are close by, and you want to purchase a bottle of wine or vodka on a Sunday; just drive over to Delta, Louisiana. Purchase your lottery tickets while you are there, too.
This was a great room with a nice view of the river. The bed and pillows were perfect! Only wish they had a breakfast for guest on the run. The staff were very helpful. Our key cards stopped working several times but the stay overall was great.
We stayed here 3 nights in our RV. When we arrived @ 3:30pm, we had requested 2 sites together (when we made the reservation, they told us no problem, that it would be doable, as thier not that full) as we are traveling with another RV. The person @ the desk was unable to accommodate, complained abt other RV'ers not leaving when they were suppose to. She was able to get us fairly close to each other, so no big deal. Then she said "I'm glad you're here now, so I can go home".
Thought that a bit strange as office hours are till 5pm. She gave us our sites & pertinent information about pool, showers laundry Etc. One thing we didn't know was the pool closes when the office closes. You can use the facilities at the hotel, but why would you want to do that when the pool is right here in the park. Office personnel not very friendly and rude at times. Seems more interested in talking on the phone then helping you.
Went to the casino hoping to grab a bite to eat and only the Buffett & the bakery cafe were open. Decided to use the pool at the RV Park around 1 p.m. & the office was closing hence, the pool closed. Was told to use the facilities at the hotel. My question why do they even have a pool here? They do have security that drives around the park, and they will pick you up and bring you back via shuttle from the casino and or hotel. Showers are clean, out of the two washing machines one was out of order. I cannot in clear conscience recommend this park. When I'm in Vicksburg again I'll definitely choose a different RV park to stay at.
There may be something better, but this hotel is by far the nicest hotel we have stayed in while in Vicksburg. Large rooms, clean, easy access from I-20 and frequent shuttle transport to casino if you are interested. Rates can vary substantially depending on holidays and weekends.
