How to Get There
Imagine dining in the steak house of a casino; amazing surroundings, skilled wait staff, perfectly cooked steaks, and side dishes to die for. Got the image? OK, then imagine the opposite end of all those categories and you have The Ameristar Casino Steakhouse. A waitress who really didn't know how to open a bottle of wine, a medium rare steak that came out full blue rare and tough to boot. No prosecco on the wine list, and not even a little sprig of parsley on the lonely steak. Nope....just a hunk of meat on a cold plate. Vicksburg isn't Vegas, or even Atlantic City....it's just awful and I suggest you drive on by no matter how hungry you are!
Scheduled my stay & was able to check in online. Once I made it there, the actual check in was a breeze because the staff is so efficient. Their personalities makes you feel more relaxed that you chose the hotel.
The rooms are clean & comfortable. The bathrooms are kind of small but that's not the reason that you checked in .
Overall, every stay that I've had at Ameristar Vicksburg has been very pleasant which is why I continue to travel there for an overnight stay.
We are traveling cross country in our motor home and stopped at the RV park attached to Ameristar Casino in Vicksburg Mississippi. Making our reservation was simple and google directions to the park were simple to find. We were a late arrival so the RV Park office was closed. However, we met Jasmine, a security guard who was amazing. She said to follow her to the hotel registration desk to finalize our check in. Then she lead us to our spot in the park. Our pull through location was nice with concrete pads and picnic table. The roads in the park are a little tight but big rigs had little problem parking. The only issue was on the spot we were in, the RVDump was a long distance from electrical connection. You need to have at least 15 feet of dump hose. There is a nice pool and nice laundry facilities. The Casino provides shuttle service that picks you up at your RV. There is both a Buffet and a cafe available for dining and the Casino is nice and clean.

The room smelled so good the moment we entered. No smoke smell. The room itself was clean, housekeeping does a fantastic job. The room was super comfy, loved it. The staff is all very nice. Would definitely stay here again.
Heritage Buffet is currently hosting all you can eat crab legs for Labor Day weekend. My party of 2 visited yesterday at 11:00am and was astonished by the crab legs. They were reheated from Friday night and not hot and not fresh. The health department needs to seriously come here soon before someone gets sick. Oh and a company rep usually responds to all food inquiries like this: "Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, ____. We are disappointed that your visit with us wasn't what you were expecting. We will pass along the issues you encountered to the rest of our team. That way your next visit with us will be the 5-star visit you deserve.
At least call the guest and personally talk about the situation. Thats professional customer service. Money Wasted yesterday and I left hungry.
