Encounter with Marilyn as front desk staff
skelly151

It had been a long trip. Marilyn saw the weariness and made my encounter special. Although a room was not ready she wisked my luggage gave me a cookie and made me feel special. I saw her at checkout and she was just as sunny. Promote this girl. As a lawyer I appreciate good customer service.

Great Stay
Bushman595

I liked it. A mid-range hotel in a very convenient mid-town location. Decent-sized rooms and efficient reception. Very helpful guy who booked our airport transfer to JFK - more helpful than his colleague who simply directed me to an unmanned bellman desk to do this booking. Can't speak for the food and drink - we chose to eat elsewhere as the menu looked over-priced and there are lots of alternatives in the immediate area. Would happily return there.

Expensive low-end hotel

It’s and old mid/low end hotel. The rooms are of a decent size for Manhattan, but these dusty carpets everywhere are really unpleasant, and it is quite noisy also.
Old beds of poor quality, you feel the springs.
In my low end bathroom, there were 2 bars of soap, but no bath gel and no shampoo.
Breakfast is the standard low-end kind of stuff that you get in all the chain hotels in the US, but at least here I managed to find a real Orange that was not pre-cut and I found the staff rather friendly (that’s why I give a 2, not a 1).
All this for 350 $: very poor value for money. I will not come back.
