Ideal location

Whilst not inexpensive the hotel has an ideal location to explore the city. A ten minute stroll from the red line station takes you down the Main Street. The city has a riverside district near the Theatre and remodelled flour mill area near the only rapids on the Mississippi......this area. Is a must visit the the never ending bridge. The city outdoor sculpture park is within a ten minute walk.
Cycling close to the city is good.
Best advice visit the Tourist Information centre at the top of Nicollet near the station, ask them the best things to see, they are great.
Food and drink on the expensive side. Probably three days would allow enough time to visit.

Very disappointed

I will never again use Cancelon after after the horrible situation you created by canceling my reservation without my authorization. See my complains to the BBB in Minnesota, Delaware plus the complains to the states regulators.
As for the hotel I travel constantly to Minneapolis and I just to like The Millenium but now is easy to see changes for the worst, receptionist do not greet you with affability, no smiles and act like they are doing you a big favor, but the worst change I notice is the restaurant, the food maybe still ok but the breakfast menu is hard to understand, I end up paying 26 dollars for one single lousy bad prepare omelet with cheese, mushrooms that I never ordered. Too bad the buffet is gone, this is NOT good.
I was coming to the hotel passing by the street window, I saw a friend eating in one of those uncomfortable small round tables design for one, I walked around and went inside to say hello, after that I decide to eat there as well and sat at one of those round (these should be square or rectangular) uncomfortable tables for one and sat down, soon a woman got on my case and reprimanded me for not waiting in the line as the sign says, I resented that but said nothing.
Needless to. say I will rather stay at another hotel and will NOT use Cancelon horrible service.

Great Location and service
Mary R

Room was beautiful and very comfortable. I was traveling through Minneapolis and just needed a room for the night and the Millennium was great. Location was perfect. Room was a little warm when I arrived and the temperature controls on the heater were very small and confusing but other than that the room was perfect. Ordered room service and left the next morning at 6am.
