How to Get There
I absolutely love that this hotel is on the Skyway system. It was so convenient. I knew this in advance and that allowed me to pack just a carry-on bag on the flight since I was coming from a warmer climate and knew it would be 30 degrees the day I arrived. It was close to great restaurants, notably Hell's Kitchen. Since it was so close I was able to walk there without a winter coat. The room and bathroom were very clean. I have a bit of a 'walking on carpet and showering in hotels without flip-flops' phobia and I felt comfortable walking to the bathroom and showering without them. The front-desk lady was super helpful and very friendly. I was there for a HUGE conference so at the end of the night the wait for the elevators was over 100 people deep. A security guard saw this and volunteered to take small groups up on the staff/service elevator. Great experience!
Terrible check in service. 3 people for reservation and received one bed. Couch was indicated in description of room - was not in room. Paid for additional upgrade (thru Expedia) to include parking and continental breakfast and had to ask the clerk how to receive breakfast and parking pass. Continental breakfast included only one sandwich and one cup of coffee at the market. No coffee pot in room. Worst stay in Minneapolis - very disappointed!
This is a very modern and excellent hotel. Bedrooms are spacious and very mod and clean. Great leisure facilities at the hotel. While we were there for a week in miserable weather this was important. Coming from Ireland we found the food at the hotel and generally in the area very expensive. The 10% state tax and 20% tip really drives the already pricey bill up. Staff in the hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
