Disappointing...for a Sheraton.
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

After our second night, we woke up to find that no one had replaced our coffee, creamers, cups etc and our shampoos in the shower. When we called the front desk, we were told that the gal was alone and couldn't bring anything up to our room - "but complimentary coffee was available in the lobby".

I requested the GM and when he called back later that morning, i explained our disappointment with the service and reminded him that i had also reported a loose grab bar in the shower, the day before.

The GM apologized profusely and assured me that was not acceptable at a Sheraton and that he would address it immediately. To his credit, he also deducted the charge for one night, from our bill.

When we returned that evening, the room had been replenished properly and the floor had been vacuumed (except under the automan!). The grab bar was still loose.

I find it unacceptable that you have to demand basics, especially at a Sheraton which is supposedly one of the 'better hotels'. I also find it unacceptable that management would apparently ignore a reported safety problem in the room.

So, on our next trip to MPLS we will book elsewhere. And if you decide to use the hotel, be aware that the grab bar may still be loose in Rm 457!!

Great Hotel!

Visited here recently, and had a wonderful time! The hotel was very clean, and updated. Our room was very spacious, and even had a balcony over the indoor pool. It’s in a great location, and there is even a mall directly across the street with great dining options. Grateful for the free parking, and the breakfast buffet was a nice touch. Lastly, the staff were so awesome! Darnesha Smith was such a great front desk representative. She was very helpful, and it was refreshing to chat with her whenever we were in the lobby. Tim Williams also had a refreshing personality! Even the building engineer Meir was great. We will definitely be back!

Just terrible

We booked through priceline for one night for a "staycation" so kids could swim. It was last minute and cheap so I guess poor planning and low cost isn't the best combo!
We booked a standard room, which by the Sheraton's website=two double beds. When we checked in, we were given a single king bed. The front desk lady halfway apologized for the misunderstanding but they were out of double bed rooms. She offered a roll-away for the low cost of $20...if they had any left. I told her never mind and was a little surprised that she would charge us.
The pool was cold and they ran out of towels. I told the same lovely front desk lady about it and she sent a dude down with towels about 40 minutes later. No foresight to plan for busy pool hours I guess.
The last straw was that our room was 76 degrees and no matter what, we couldn't cool it down despite instructions. At that point, we packed up the little kids, cut our losses and avoided heat stroke by going home. We could have asked the same front desk lady to help us with the heat but based on prior interactions with her, it just didn't seem worth it. It was late and we didn't feel like waiting around 100 yrs to have her send maintenance up.
I don't consider us high maintenance but seriously. I would not stay there again given the issues and customer service.

Don't stay here!!!!

We went to MINNETONKA SHERATON located at 12201 RIDGEDALE to check in for Super Bowl weekend stay. We had prepaid for two rooms weeks in advance for total charges over $5,000. When we arrived, the rooms had been sold to another party and we were forced to stay elsewhere. Although we were told our card would be credited the credits were subsequently reversed.

If you choose to stay at this place, make sure not to Pre-Pay!!! We will never stay at a Sheraton again.

I wish i had read more reviews than the hotel’s favorite which was mixed in to counter the mostly negative reviews from the last 6 months.

Very noisy atrium style layout with second atrium surrounding a pool. Compared to the bloomington and woodbury sheratons this hotel is dated, more noisy and fewer food amenities for club members.
Maybe it was the busload of mother and daughter dance folks that wore her down, but the chinese-american front desk person (i think her name was alicia) was not happy working the front desk by herself when hotel was near full, key card machine malfunctioned and several people reported housekeeping issues.

So, i can only hope that when generic replies are pasted like “follow-up with staff” and “review in meeting” measurable actions are taken to turn this sinking ship around.
