Outstanding Visit

This hotel is a hidden gem in West Minneapolis. Conveniently located next to the Ridgedale Shopping Center, this is a hidden oasis of service and comfort. The interior of the hotel is clean and comfortable. The rooms are beautifully appointed and service from the staff (front desk to banquets to housekeeping) was top notch. One team member, however, truly stood out. There was an acting GM/Resident Manager (Dwayne) that was present every day of our 4-day, weekend visit. He was seen everywhere on property helping out employees, helping out guests, overseeing our banquet event, coordinating traffic in the driveway so everyone could unload/load under the overhang on a rainy Sunday morning and just present in the lobby, interacting with guests. So pleasant, so professional and so engaged! Bravo! Dwayne, YOU made our stay extraordinary! I would happily recommend this property over and over again. Can't wait to return!

We stayed at the Sheraton in Minnetonka and had a wonderful stay. Don't judge it by the outside. Outside looks a little outdated but the inside is very modern. Front desk staff was WONDERFUL, the room was clean and modern and the bed was to die for. I've never slept in such a comfortable hotel bed, from the heavy comforter to extremely soft pillows that my head sunk into. Only complaint I would have is no continental breakfast but they did offer breakfast, just at an additional cost. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great stay!!

I recently made a trip to Minneapolis to celeberate my 20th wedding anniversary and stayed at the Sheraton West. I must say it was the most pleasurable experience from check-in to check-out. Toby at guest service was so polite and gave A+ customer service. The facility was clean; breakfast was yummy; all hotel associates went out of their way to make our stay one to remember. When they found out it was our anniversary, we were comped a couple drinks at the bar. Our bartender was amazing!!!!

Sometimes, I feel like top notch customer service is mising in the hosipitality industry. But the Sheraton did not fail. Everything about the stay was perfect! From our location, to beauty of the hotel, the great care we were provided during our stay to being provided an umbrella from staff to use while walking to my car due to an outpuring of rain as we were preparing to leave, we were tremendously satisfied and will come again.

Easy access to highways and food

Nice 3 day business stay at the Sheraton. Bar and food were ok, but short staffed early in the week. If you don’t mind a short walk or drive, several more delicious options for food at the Ridgedale Mall. Red stone, Cheesecake Factory and Kona Grill.

Comfortable beds... that’s about it.

Prior to the Marriott-Starwood merger, I believed Sheraton properties to be of decent quality. My last several stays have been less than sub-par. This stay solidified my frustrations.

The bed was moderately comfortable and that’s about the extent of my “comfort.” My shower drain was broken and my thermostat was inaccurate, incapable of signaling the unit to cool the room. It was impossible to get anyone on the phone at the front desk at almost any time of day. Ultimately, I was able to message the chatbot on the app and received a response awhile later. They related that an engineer would attend to the issues in the morning.

Whilst I was out with my clients the next morning, the engineer satisfactorily fixed the drain but neglected the thermostat. As I have difficulty sleeping, a cool area is a must. This was not to be as maintenance did not see fit to rectify the temperature issue.

As for room service, the delivery was prompt and friendly but the food was not worth the price tag, with quality sorely lacking at the ingredient level. My comments are applicable only to the breakfast menu as I chose not to attempt lunch or dinner in-house.

To say I am disappointed with a brand I once trusted with most of my travel accommodation, is a massive understatement. However, I must give due to Shannon at the front desk as she may have been the only bright spot of the hotel service, staff, and stay. Thank you for your kindness and concern for my experience. I appreciated your genuine interest in my frustrations.

Conclusion: Looking like there’s a lot more Hilton in my future.
