How to Get There
We have stayed at this property several times over the years, and while it’s clean, it needs to be renovated and updated. My first comment would be that for a property at this price point the room has only two sets of towels rather than the usual three. The bathroom has the original tubs and the decor is very dated. We love the bathrooms with the shower. The water doesn’t leak out of the shower curtain and the shower is more spacious. The beds are comfortable and bed linens are nice. The mirror in the bathroom wasn’t cleaned prior to arrival nor for our second night. This facility is also equipped with the older heating packages that turns off in the middle of the night so no matter what it’s like outside your room is stifling! It was 38 degrees when we were there by the way.
Cannot speak to highly of the customer service and room quality at this location. Front desk reps were helpful and friendly at all hours. Only negative to speak of is a large wedding made it difficult to find parking during one night of our stay and some late noise of folks that celebrated a bit too much. Then again, choosing a room near the elevator probably did not help. Outside of that, all other nights noise was minimal and parking was great. The restaurant and bar are a wonderful touch as well, everything you need under one roof. We will certainly stay again when visiting Minneapolis.
Great experience again at this hotel. Sharon was great sorting out a late reservation and room request. All the staff were very help full. Room was big and roomy with sofa to chill out on watching the huge TV. Bathroom was also very good. On this trip I tried out the Hotel restaurant called 'Bloomington ChopHouse' on two evenings and had a wonderful meal both times.
