How to Get There
The hotel isn’t the 5 star one maybe use to in some of the locale such as Paris or London. This hotel is the better ones in comparison to the rest. If one would pick it against the US facilities, it about a 3 star.
Buffets are about average with a ton of choices.
It’s an enormous place and can be tiresome walking around. You would definitely need a golf cart to hop around with check in n out...
The best part is the Dead Sea Experience, thru provide mud and salt application for one to soak in the sea. Well, float that is...
We had the unfortunate experience of spending two nights here. Check in was pleasant and efficient. Now to the room. In the first room we did not even spend one evening. Almost immediately after check in we joined another couple for dinner. Upon returning to the room and beginning to prepare for bed we heard an intermittent mechanical moaning. We surmise it was the elevator. A sound night’s would not have possible. We requested a different room which we received. Transferred to the new room around 9:00 p.m, A good sign no mechanical moaning. So much for the good. There are a total of two usable outlets in the room. The one in the bathroom did not work. Leaving one usable outlet. Now a mitigating factor were two USB outlets on either side of the bed. Continuing on the shower door would nor close properly, one of two reading lamps beside the bed did not work and only one of two light bulbs worked in another fixture. An indifferent and inattentive omelet cook at breakfast added to the frustration. Maintenance is a foreign concept at this hotel both in the room and public areas. The hotel is spread out over a large area but provides golf cart transportation if you twenty to thirty minutes to wait. I am about out of allowed length for a review and thus will not relate more of my dismal experience.
This place is heaven on earth... with it's own beach/entrance to the Dead Sea... amazing friendly staff who made our stay so special, and the food... yum...
If you are considering going to the Dead Sea, make Kempinski Hotel Ishtar your hotel... you are welcome... :)
