Excellent Stay! Bright Clean and Quality Accomodations
Reviewed 4 days ago

Yeah it's the place to stay while in Camden. Walking distance from the action of downtown, and great jumping off point for a drive to points north. We stayed in the Whatley room which is separate from the main house and had a great big private deck to enjoy the cool Maine evenings. The bed was plush, puffy and perfect. Lisa was the Mistress of information about "what to do", Ted was accommodating in creating a non-dairy non-gluten breakfast and the whole experience was quintessential B&B.

Perfect location, impeccable accomodations, excellent breakfast

Ted and Lisa were attentive, wonderful hosts. The room was great, clean, well maintained, beautiful. The common areas were comfortable and wonderful places to hang out. Plenty of guide books. Within walking distance (barely a couple of blocks) to the scenic downtown area, and also a short walk to the trailhead of Mt. Battie for hiking.

Beautiful place to enjoy

Our room was tastefully decorated with a comfortable king sized bed.
The living room and dining where filled with books, games, movies to enjoy.
The breakfasts were amazing in presentation and taste. Plus, you didn’t leave hungry.
You know you were in heaven because of the coffee!
The view from all tables was breath taking over looking the Camden Harbor with a bubbling stream bordering the inn’s property.

"we can't wait to return" is the best way to describe how we feel about the hawthorne inn. lisa & ted are perfect innkeepers. they go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. each morning they give you a printout with all that there is to do in the area that day. breakfasts are simply delicious, and very different each day. the inn itself is just beautiful , as are the individual rooms.
