Marriott has destroyed peaceful oasis

Entering the lobby by escalator no longer has one enter the bamboo forest. Floor to ceiling black/dark brown wood with a splattering of lights at top creates a closed in feeling. The additional lobby seating is a plus.

In the guest room, behind the new dark brown headboard, is a large piece of artwork that is off center on wall or headboard, and is partially hung behind headboard. Totally put of place and continues the more aggressive theme of the lobby.

Prior to moving from Michigan, I spent many nights at the Westin. Too bad Marriott ruined a special place.

I love this location

If you’re a Delta traveler you can’t get more convenient in this hotel. The place is beautiful the location can’t be beat. I did not have the best experience with room service I came in on a Wednesday night the restaurant wasn’t that crowded it took forever to get my food it wasn’t right. I asked to remake it half an hour later still no food so I canceled my order other than that this place is convenient. Don’t expect many toiletries But you will get quick access to the gates. In all fairness I will give the hotel a five restaurant 3 1/2

perfect stay!

Came the night before an early morning flight, as the hotel is connected to DTW. Marriott status got me an upgraded room overlooking the terminal, which was fun to watch the planes. Huge room and really comfy.
