How to Get There
I had a wonderfully comfortable stay at The Inn on Ferry Street that I thoroughly enjoyed! Each morning they serve a "bountiful", healthy and delicious breakfast--just as they describe on their website. I enjoyed their selection of fresh fruits, yogurt, pancakes, scrambled eggs w/ available toppings on the side, juice, tea, coffee and more. The staff was always very helpful, courteous, thoughtful and pleasant.
The ambiance of the Inn is calm, historically beautiful & peaceful. I was able to easily order room service and/or order in from Grubhub.com for delivery. I felt additionally at ease with the security of my room because entry requires both a key card, for building access, and a room key to enter each room.
My room was lovely, comfortably and beautifully furnished, and struck just the right balance of historic and modern. The Wi-fi worked perfectly my entire stay, as did everything else. I never had to use a taxi/Uber/Lyft to get to my conference destination because The Inn on Ferry Street provides its guests with a convenient shuttle--which will drop guests off and pick them up anywhere within a 5 mile radius from morning until 11 pm!
I had an excellent and relaxing stay at The Inn on Ferry Street, and I will definitely return there should I find myself in Detroit in the future.
Spent the night here while moving our son to Detroit for medical school. The Inn was beautiful and our room was spacious. This historic Inn was beautiful and very convenient to the Art District and midtown.
The breakfast was delicious and the dining area beautiful. Will plan on staying again in the future
Our recent stay at the Inn at Ferry street in Detroit was fantastic. The rooms are very nicely refinished and spacious. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is a unique setting of old homes north of downtown Detroit. We especially enjoyed the free shuttle that is available to take you to sites within five miles of the Inn. The breakfast was delicious, with many choices from quiche to cereal and lots of fresh fruit! We would definitely stay here again.
Amazing place if you want to explore Detroit. Parking was very easy (and free!) and many museums and some restaurants are just a block away. Area felt really safe. Breakfast was really nice.
Would recommend ground floor rooms for people who have difficulty walking or taking suitcases upstairs. But this was no problem for us.
Did not use the free shuttle, but will use it next time we are at the Inn, because we will definitely return.
I was in Detroit for business and working in the area of the Inn on Ferry Street. What a great find! There or 4 or 5 beautiful historic houses converted to hotel. My room was beautiful with a grand queen size bed, awesome sitting area and the bathroom was very nice. The service was spectular, the free breakfast was amazing. I'd defintely recommend the Inn on Ferry Street if you'd like to get away from sterile hotels and the craziness of downtown.
