Comfortable and Affordable

I chose this hotel because it was affordable; however I gave it a high rating because the room was big and comfortable. The location is good, accessible to the people mover and within walking distance of the Qline to enjoy the city sites. Also, its location within Greektown means you have access to the Casino, bars and restaurants within a couple of blocks. Opa!

Great staff, location and hospitality

Stayed for a night and was very impressed by the size of the hotel room. Checked in 2hrs early no questions or extra fees charged. Walked into our room, bedroom is seperated by seating area with tv and refrigerator. We took the hotel shuttle to little Caesars arenas, the driver was on his way before we even called the hotel to let them know the concert was over. Amazing experience, felt like a VIP. Will be staying again when in Detroit.

Stolen item's WHILE sleeping in the room

My girlfriend and I stayed here this past weekend for a friends wedding. We woke up with the room door open, cash gone, and watch gone....this happened while we were sleeping in the room! The hotel conducted a "lock interrogation" and would not let me review the results without a court ordered subpoena. I have been trying to contact the hotel managers all week, but no one is returning my call. Tried to file a police report, but we have to file it in person at a local precinct.

Great architecture and nice, elegant rooms.

The room was great - enter into a living room, down a hallway past a large bathroom, then down 3 steps into a large bedroom. Really nice setup after a long day.

Location is also good - just 2-3 blocks to GM building and Marriott hotel for meetings, etc. and some great dining. Or a few more blocks (about a 15 minute walk or so) to Cobo Hall. Just to the East of hotel is Greek Town with lots of restaurants, shops, and a casino (and Starbucks of course).

Nice place and old-world feel. Very good service from doormen, etc.

You are treated like VIP

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left each and every staff person we encountered was not only friendly and courteous, but beyond helpful-from the manager to the valet to the shuttle drivers. My husband has a powerchair he needs and we often can not use hotel shuttles. Here they scooped it up (by hand-and it is not light) and made a space in the back for it. The hotel is beautiful with unique rooms and a great location. My daughter forgit her purse just after our car was parked and they ran back out to get it withput a complaint-in fact with a smile. We were given excellent ideas for shopping for affordable sports wear and breakfast options. We will stay again and HIGHLY recommend it.
