The vibe of a boutique property with the amenities of a resort in Miami’s financial district
At the Hotel Beaux Arts, in Miami’s financial district, guests get the best of both worlds: an amenity-laden stay with the vibe of a hushed, exclusive boutique hotel. The 44-room hotel achieves this hard-to-reach goal by being in the same 41-story building as the JW Marriott Marquis. Perched near the top, the hotel has a personal concierge and a sleek lobby, a mix of chrome and marble tables and low-slung couches backed by mod beaded curtains and oversize fashion photo murals.
Bed and Bath
Polished Brazilian wood floors lend a sexy sheen to the sleek loft-style rooms. Pay attention when you’re shown around, as the amenities are high-tech (think room service via iPad and Bang & Olufsun LCD TVs that swing out from the wall on a motorized arm). Marble bathrooms have Jacuzzi tubs, colored LED faucets and Molton Brown products.
You’re spoiled for options thanks to the facilities of both the Beaux Arts and the Marriott; they run the gamut from a stainless steel pool on the 19th floor to a salon, a spa, a virtual bowling alley, a 3-D theater, a wine boutique, a cigar shop and a gym. There’s also a Miami outpost of star chef Daniel Boulud’s db Bistro Moderne, a palace of indulgent French fare with an international edge. Be sure to try the signature foie gras, black truffle and short rib–stuffed burger.
