We have been here before and had a lovely fun time! This time we had a little bit of service issues at pool but “ Manny “the pool waiter made up for it! The manager, Arron, reached out to us , as well and were so gracious and accommodating! Thank you for caring so much about our stay and our opinion. We will be back and will continue to recommend this beautiful hotel!

As you roll up to the W, the first thing you see is a lineup of sweet cars. Expected, but always cool to check out a Lambo you haven't seen before. Michael and the Bell Team were on top of things from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Nice job.

I'm a Bonvoy Gold Elite and a Premiere Plus card holder. At checkout, the staff was friendly and efficient. Duval quickly introduced himself and made sure things were in order with our room and whatever else we needed. Another pleasant experience.

The lobby is small but more than adequate. You're spending time outside anyway. Since we arrived early, we went into the Dutch for a drink and lunch while we waited for our room. The manager introduced himself and my bad for forgetting his name, but was very welcoming and made a great drink. We sat down for lunch with our friends when they arrived and everyone enjoyed the Butter Lettuce Goddess Salad. We also had the pizza a couple of times which was very good. We had a breakfast a few times which was also good. Again, a solid experience.

The staff was great in getting our room available right as we finished lunch. The room is great. Very spacious and well appointed with a typical Miami feel. Our view was great on the spacious balcony. The bathroom has dual sinks and a large, multi-head shower. They provide plenty of treats and booze in the room for emergencies, but of course it's overpriced. The bed was very comfortable and my wife and I slept well each night. The room service did a great job.

We spent most of our time at the pool. It's really nice with an infinity edge and comfortable loungers, and umbrellas if you want out of the sun. The pool staff does a great job setting you up, but get there early in the morning if you want chairs. Also, they have a strict 30 minute vacancy policy so make sure you keep that in mind when you go to take a dip in the ocean. We made sure to tip the pool staff and wait staff well so they kept an eye on our stuff for a little longer. The wait staff was awesome as well and knew how to catch and throw a mean spiral with the football. Always with a smile. They were very attentive and friendly. Maria, Mike and the team. Well done!

The beach is great. Once again the beach staff was attentive and quick to set up chairs and umbrella. The wait staff on the beach was a little slow but friendly. One suggestion would be to rake and dispose of the sea grass when there's a strong blow. Not that it bothers me personally, but it's a nice touch. There's a great sandbar just off the beach to go sit in knee deep water with a drink.

So why don't I give the W South Beach a 5 rating? I direct you to the review slightly before mine where they highlight the rudeness of a particular person at the front desk. I think management could easily figure it out, but this girl has a major attitude. My buddy was reviewing his portfolio one morning and noticed he was getting charged for valet service by "Wheels" each morning. Well, he didn't have a car there. He simply wanted to check with the front desk on the charges and this girl could NOT be bothered. Attitude. Smirks. Even some eye rolling when we walked by later on. Are you serious? I've NEVER advocated for anyone's termination, but I think a solid management review of this person is in order. I know everyone can have a bad day, but to throw shade because someone is simply asking about a charge with ZERO attitude that would justify such a response from staff.

I'm confident this person will be looking for employment elsewhere by the time my wife and I AND our friends get back to the W. We loved the place and the hotel and 99% of it's staff earned our repeat business.

Impressive Miami Beach Experience

My stay at the W South Beach was fantastic. The location is great, just a few blocks north of the heart of South Beach, so it was a little less hectic. I booked the lowest category of room, but still had a view of the ocean, which was awesome! The room was more like a junior suite, with separate living and bedroom areas, plus a large bathroom and balcony.

The pool area is pretty large, but I was there during a Spring Break weekend, so get downstairs early, or you'll have to put your name on a waiting list for a pool chair. The W's beach was large and a lot of fun too. Their gym is also well above average, with cardio equipment, weight machines, dumbbells, and two Smith Machines. The hotel also has tennis and basketball courts, but I didn't get a chance to check them out.

Every staff member I encountered, including the Front Desk, Security, Servers at the pool/beach, and Housekeeping, were helpful and seemed to really enjoy their jobs.

The only downside to this hotel is that it is very pricey, including for food and drinks. There is also a resort fee, but unlike many hotels which charge one, the W has actual resort amenities. However, I had a great time and would definitely return!

Great hotel but Rude front of house

Coming from a Gold SPG member. Gorgeous hotel with typical W design and finishes. Front desk needs major work in terms of training. I’ll skip the details but guest service should be number one always. I was treated very poorly by one of the front desk ladies and when asked to talk to manager she was as rude until she finally heard what happened. Listen people listen!! The Guest is important. We have options. No more SPG-W Hotels for me!!

I’ve never been to Miami before in my life first time visiting on business but I definitely will come back :) My marvelous trip started when I got off the plane ✈️ i Ubered from the airport to the hotel I was going to reside at for the remainder of the week, Kinda pricey but I was getting reimbursed when I got back to the states. The driver was very kind and basically gave me a tour of Miami until I reached my destination. I got to the hotel and wasent it a sight to see ❤️ I see buildings similar to this back home but not to often you 3 Lamborghinis Ferrari’s and Bentley’s in front parked 😭❤️ I love cars but back to the point I checked in the hotel jaw dropping experience from the moment I got my room key to the moment I left the hotel. One particular person made this a trip I will never forget this individual name was Wreck it Ralph (Ralph) or that’s how he greeted his self I couldn’t stop laughing because my Father name was Ralph 😭 and didn’t realized how I never thought of that joke. But he greeted his self and sat me down on the beach I felt like me and this young man could talk for hours. The vibe was unique felt like I knew him my whole life! It’s great to see young black men doing great things and working instead of being out here in the streets. Great view of the ocean 🌊 he kept checking in on me making sure I was OK the food was amazing BTW ❤️ special thanks to the chef on the beach only 1 flaw the colors where a little off they uniforms was purple and the seats where pinks but no biggy it’s all about customer service ❤️ I tip my hat to you young man keep up the great work ps he also informed me about this trip advisor thing I didn’t even know this existed but I will definitely keep updating about my experience throughout the world 🌍 once again great place everyone was great Please visit ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
