Great Hotel!
Reviewed 6 days ago

I loved this hotel! I stayed with my husband and we had a great time! It's so cozy and cute, and in a great neighborhood! The staff was so friendly. It's walking distance to Ocean Drive ,which has tons of restaurants and bars. And also a short walk to the beach. You can rent bikes over by the beach and ride around town. We also walked to Espanola Way and ate at the best cuban restaurant! I loved the hotel and the location was perfect. I'm going back down to Miami with my girl friends in a month and we are staying at here! I would definitely recommend!

Great location but tired and basic

We booked a few nights here before a cruise. We contacted the hotel to ask for recommendations on the best way to get from the airport. They kindly offered to book a transfer for us - we sent our flight details as requested and were pleased it was one less thing to think about.
So after a long flight and clearing customs we stood and patiently waited for our driver as instructed... we waited and waited and no one came.
We called the hotel only to be told they had no record of our request and suggested we get the bus (we had 6 suitcases!! )
We finally got to the hotel and booked in... there was a 'sort of' apology as we were told that the girl who booked the transfer had been struck in a car accident... what that had to do with a booking made in advance weeks before I don't know!
We finally got into the room and our hearts sank!
We had two very small double beds so had to sleep apart, the pillows were also lumpy and manky. Power sockets didn't work and the TV only had one volume.
The fridge was iced up and kept us awake most the night... we tried to turn it off but the ice melted and dripped out.
There was no sound proofing between rooms so noise travelled.
The bathroom was old, tired and leaked... hot water was sporadic and we're not convinced the towels were changed, just folded up!
We didn't bother with the breakfast as it didn't look appetising.

The only positive was the location!

Cute, clean and cozy!

Super cute hotel. The staff was AMAZINGLY friendly and very helpful. I’ve never stayed at a hotel where the staff was so nice and hospitable! The rooms were newly remodeled it seemed and very clean. My only gripe would be the shower didn’t have much water pressure, but that’s it. Cute courtyard to hang out in. Close to so many restaurants and the beach, yet off the main drag so it’s a big quieter than being right on Ocean. I’d definitely stay here again.

pleasent place

Convenient for overnight before cruise!

We flew in on a Friday afternoon and wanted a hotel for 1 night prior to our Sat afternoon cruise departure. It is so convenient to the port of Miami and just a short Uber to the ships. That avoids dealing with any Miami traffic. The quaint little hotel is easy to find right on the corner of Washington and 4th. The building was very old, but nicely refurbished. The staff at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. It is an easy location to take bus 150 from the bus/ car terminal at Miami International Airport to the 5th Ave stop on Washington in South Beach with a 1 block walk to hotel, all for $4.50 for two. That beats the expensive taxi , limousine, or Uber costs by far.
