The Lowdown

Brand-new Urbanica The Meridian Hotel has one of the tip-top rankings among TripAdvisor Miami Beach hotels, along with a Certificate of Excellence, for its distinctive, welcoming brand of hospitality and attentive service. Clean, minimalist décor emphasizes whites and neutrals, to help you relax, while inviting common spaces include a cabana area and a glimmering pool with a deck flanked by loungers. Coffee and juices are available at the Food Marchand (plus to-go treats at the vending machines), while bikes await to take you around town.
Speaking of town, its highlights are right in your backyard from this urban oasis on the southern edge of South Beach. You’re near the heart of the action, in a chic area (South of Fifth, or “SoFi”) that’s become a destination in its own right – if one that’s still decidedly more laid-back than its neighbor. When not at home, you can be off dining on steak at Prime 112, splashing cash at the shops of the Lincoln Road Mall or dancing at the buzziest clubs in minutes. And if you’re headed to the beach, which is just a handful of blocks east, you’ll get private hotel service, so you can arrive like a VIP.

The American Riviera. An Art Deco playground. Miami’s South Beach has been called many things, but one thing’s for sure – there’s no other place like it – and this hotel’s location puts you within easy reach of some of the best shopping, nightlife, architecture, beaches, restaurants and history. If the people watching doesn’t take up your day, there’s plenty more to do. Pick one of the Prime restaurants in surrounding SoFi (South of Fifth), stroll Lincoln Road’s iconic walk, vacation in Spanish style on Española Way, soak up the sun on the white-sand coast, dine at a sidewalk café, or hit a bar in Miami’s legendary club scene. However you spend your stay, we promise you won’t want to leave.

Lively, lovely hotel. Staff was great- loved the decor (filled with greenery). Overall truly amazing especially for the price. They sent champagne to my room for my birthday, chairs on the beach were included, bikes and helmets available at your lesisure. Good distance from the beach (3 blocks)!

Very lovely boutique hotel. Loved the cafe area and small bar. Food was delicious! Only issue was standing water in the shower which I complained about but there was no improvement with the draining so not sure if repair was even attempted. Walking distance from popular spots without being in the middle of all the noise. However we had a street view room and the car noise was apparent. I would stay there again. The staff was amazing!

It;s not just because of the (two) welcome mojitos, the never-ending smiles and handshakes and complimentary this and that. It's not just because of the comfortable beds, the essential oils misting thru-out the hotel property, the peaceful rooftop swimming pool retreat and adjacent "chill room", the hip bikes (locks and helmets provided), the generous beach towels and beach chaise lounger service (tip the Esteban chair boys, they'll be nicer)....

It's mostly becuase they freakin' CARE that you are truly 100% satisfied! My girlfriend Alicia and I were treated VIPs. We also heard the same from the equally chill and super fun guests from London, Amsterdam and Sao Paolo. Our new friends had the very same things to say.

We booked a basic room facing the courtyard and, truthfull, it was too small. The front desk crew tried to offer us an upgrade (we didnt even ask) but couldn't get us upgraded for the 3 days in a row so we kept our room.

Thanks Sexton Garcia, just one of the exceptional team members! Thanks FREDDY, Lucca, William, James, Laura, Luis, a very huggable housekeeper, the ladies who run the excellent lobby cafe with sensational empanadas, avocado toasts and a ridiculously chunky and yummy pokè toast with an almost gulp-worthy siracha-mayo dressing. YUM.

Owners please ensure that all of the above and the rest of the team get recognized.

See y'all soon!!!!! Viva Urbanica!!! BAMMM!

The hotel is nice and modern and very on trend. The rooms have everything you need and nothing you don’t need. The staff are friendly and helpful. Location is ideal, a very short walk to the action. When I come back to Miami, I will be staying here!

Wonderful Hotel & Staff

My friend and I stayed at this hotel for one week in March, and I cannot say enough good things! The hotel is in a fantastic location so you can walk and explore everything south beach has to offer. The staff are incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay so memorable. My birthday happened to fall during the week of our stay and the staff gifted our room with a bottle of prosecco to celebrate! Little touches, you don’t get at every hotel make Urbanica Miami Beach so special!
Only criticism I would have is there were not enough electricity sockets in our room!
If you are booking a trip to Miami, definatley consider this hotel! I cannot wait to go back!
