Excellent Boutique Hotel

This small Art Deco hotel is at the corner of Collins Ave & 20th St - 3 minute walk to the beach. Friendly staff, ultra modern rooms near the heart of all the action. Loved it & didn’t cost the earth. Nice little reasonable breakfast cafe in the hotel on the same floor as reception.

Nice budget friendly hotel

At first arrival i was very sceptical of the Townhouse but it totally grew on me. All the staff was very courteous and attentive. Hotel was very clean and maintained. The room was ok,,small, but that's the majority in South B. unless you have the extra cash to toss around. My room was clean,,bed was very comfy, zero bugs spotted . There is a service entrance street side for the another hotel that can get loud at night with the trucks in and out but after a day in the sun and several cocktails all was good. Rooftop bar area is really nice, plenty of comfortable spots to chill in the evening or take your coffee in the morning. "K" restaurant in the bottom of the hotel has the best burger I've had in a long time,,apparently voted #2 in the Miami area,,did not know this until after I'd devoured it and made a comment. Location is great,,not the center of all the action but not to far away,,i like that choice. Short walk to the beach,,out the door,150yds to the right. Id stay again for sure,,regret not sampling the rest of the menu in K

So my best friend and I stayed here 3/4-3/6. We were a little disappointed in the size of the room, we booked through a 3rd party travel site so not sure if they gave us the smallest room or if they were just busy either way we aren’t ones to complain and just went with the flow! The receptionists were very friendly and the decor of the place is very nice. You do receive 2 drink tickets to either the rooftop bar or the downstairs restaurant “K.” Overall we had a great time but Joe the bartender on the rooftop MADE our trip at Townhouse hands down! If we ever make it back to Miami we would stay here just to have Joe as our bartender again!

Fantastic location, poor ambience

The Townhouse’s location is fantastic, with easy access to the beach, boardwalk and excellent dining (budget and expensive). However, there are issues. While our room was very clean, the windows were filthy. The hotel rate used to include a lovely continental breakfast buffet that was tasty and convenient; now there is a small café in the lobby that provides sit-down service (but charges for it). The food is OK, but strangely presented (fried eggs with a garnish of mayo and yellow mustard, a croissant served with cream cheese). Instead of the breakfast, the hotel includes two drinks a night. While the roof top bar is scenic, they could not serve a mojito (“not a well drink”) and they were out of white wine, so that perk was not so great for us. The room rate also claims to include beach chairs and an umbrella, but since you pay a “resort fee” on top of the room rate, you are basically paying for them yourself. Lastly, the service is uneven. One staff member was very out-going, others seemed quite disinterested in providing anything other than the most basic customer service (ie, taking my credit card for payment). So, if you are willing to give up ambience for a fantastic location, go for it, but do not count on the perks or service.

Weekend getaway with my daughter.

Clean building and quick check in even prior to 3:00 pm stated arrival.
Front desk personelle were always pleasant.
Cost of rooms included two free drinks on roof top each night which was a beautiful sight of the city.
