How to Get There

Great value and Location!

The Townhouse Hotel is located just blocks from Lincoln Drive and all the south beach restaurants and a (although no pool) just a block and a half from the beach. A good value breakfast. The room furniture is very modern and to my taste could be more comfortable and less "fancy." Staff are friendly and many of the customers are European, a nice mix.

The Townhouse That is not a Townhouse

Me and my girlfriend arrived here and where staying 9 nights.

I will divide this review in different sections.

Front desk
There where three people working in the front desk during our stay. Two of them where all good and very helpful, the younger one not so much and it looked more like he did not want the job. The older man, and Anthon (??) very helpful.

Breakfast is not included when booking, but they have a small area where you can order breakfast. Not the best, or the fastest. But probably the most value for money you get close to the beach.

Resort fee.
Why I put this as an own section is that when booking you don’t hear about it. But when arriving they will charge you $100 per night in deposit, and $29 per night as a resort fee. In this price you get two complimentary drinks (beer or wine) plus sun beds at the beach.

Rooftop bar
This is awesome when open. Due to heavy rain and bad weather some of the nights we where in Miami, it was not open. But nice view and cool place to hang out. The bartender Joseph, a Cuban/American guy living in Miami gave me and my girlfriend a three pages list of local tips to check out. Food, bars and cool neighborhoods. Ask him for this if you get the chance!

This is where it gets really bad. And probably the only thing I’m really mad about. Something I do upon arrival in a hotel is marking the sheets with a cross to check if and when they get changed. As earlier stated, we stayed here for 9 nights, and the cross is probably still on the sheets we had. THEY NEVER CHANGED IT!
We also had to go down to the front desk to ask for more shampoo and soap after three days..

The rooms
Really boring and sterile in my opinion. No pictures on the walls, everything all white and no touch from someone with a eye for interior design.

Liked the stay, but would probably try something else next time.

Didn’t stay but had drink at rooftop bar

Nice rooftop bar in South Beach that is very nicely decorated and has great ambiance.
Drinks are reasonably priced however entrance is not that nice. Was quite quiet on Tuesday night but offered nice views and a chilled place to sit. Can imagine it being very good on the weekend as the sun sets.
