Personal Touch at Art Deco Gem

These folks saved me after my AIRBNB ended up having no power. So last minute reservation but nonetheless, they were attentive and nice every time they saw us come in or out. Pool on 3rd floor is sweet addition. Room 101 is loud, and fyi, all these beach hotels are noisy on a Saturday night - there's car cruising sounds, happy street sounds etc...bring earplugs and be forewarned - you're in a party atmosphere.

Tourist Trap

Strangely enough, many hotels, restaurants and bars were not full during Art Basel week this year. Nevertheless, prices did stay high. I admit booking late, and thus was willing to pay a little more. Leslie was very expensive. OK, but then you expect some service, too. However, the place is not worth the money you pay. Lousy breakfast (starting at 8 - and dont even try to get coffee before that), rooms ice cold to begin with, windows locked, lounge is tiny, cheap soaps in the bathroom, of course no newspapers in the morning etc.

Could be much better

Great experience at the Leslie

This hotel is at a great location and has a helpful and friendly staff. The included buffet breakfast is a nice bonus, as are the chairs you can borrow for the beach. It's not the place to be if you're looking a tranquility and peace (the street noise can be loud) but it's South Beach so that comes with the territory. Overall, the Leslie is a great choice for the area.

EXCELLENT LOCATION

The Leslie hotel is located in the heart of Ocean Drive in South Beach. A few steps from bars, restaurants, shops and beach.
It is an Art Deco building, small, but well conditioned. The rooms are comfortable and the staff very friendly. The included breakfast is not the big deal, but it's not bad either.
There is a pool on the roof, overlooking the beach, very good place to relax and have a drink.
I think I would stay at the Leslie Hotel again.
