How to Get There
We stayed here before our cruise of the Caribbean. Its a boutique hotel an unusual set up accessed via a iron gate and to the side of the building. Its architecture is in a spanish/European style and shares the ground floor with an Italian restaurant.
Our room on the first floor (there is no elevator)was big and its design continued through with dark wood furniture ornate bathroom fittings stone floors, huge bed and two fitted wardrobes.Fridge, pod coffee machine, chairs and a small table.Everything you could want for and of course an ice bucket a quick ask at reception and it’s filled. Its on a busy street but the only real noise came from the neighbours. Why do people not consider other guests when returning to their room? Talking loudly slamming doors.A simple free breakfast is provide next door in its sister hotel La Flora which is adequate and a free G&T in the evening too.We liked our 2 night stay there although the few staff you meet could be a little friendlier and it didn’t help leaving struggling with suitcases down a stone staircase.
The Hotel Impala is a gem. It’s a little quirky, which we love, with a Mediterranean feel. The rooms are of a good size for a city hotel, they are clean and comfortable. The bed was lovely. Staff were really helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was taken in an adjoining sister hotel. This was disappointing and I wouldn’t bother again. However, I would certainly stay in the Hotel Impala again.
First of all it is not a hotel it is a bed and breakfast,
also It was one of the worst experiences that I had, this is a small old grandmas style house, everything it’s OLD, from the carpet all the way until the furniture inside the room and there are lights that doesn’t work.
The only window the room has looks to the alley with garbage, everything beside staff and the location near Colin’s Avenue and Ocean Drive was a mess.
Don’t you even think about sleeping late there, the walls, the floors every thing conduct very effectively the noise, if somebody speak in the lobby you can hear them, if people speak late at night and early in the morning also, doors slamming every time during the night and morning, be prepared to wake up at 6 AM or earlier every day, you can hear steps, furniture moving, the voices within the rooms and inclusive on top of the floor level rooms.
Too bad that I wasted two nights in that place.
Also there is no breakfast included, there is paper plate in a nearby hotel including one banana, slices of bread and coffee that’s it, if you wanna have a decent breakfast then you have to add at least a $35 to your account.
Now the good thing is you are nearby everything including ocean drive, there are a couple of nice restaurants in the area and an italian restaurant in front of this B&B
My daughter and I stayed at this hotel and everything was wonderful about it.
The ambience, the location, the wonderful staff, really everything!
It certainly isn’t a noisy hotel but amazingly right smack dab in the middle of
the hugely popular South Beach.
Carlos, the general manager, Bobby and Michael go above and beyond to make your stay fantastic!
Highly, highly recommend this beautiful hotel.
My daughters and I stayed here for a night before we left for a cruise. Andy and Jon were exceptionally thoughtful and welcoming to my family. All of our flights landed ridiculously early in the day and we were treated so kindly and were able to check in early. They offered great suggestions for places to eat and drink around South Beach. The room was very clean, comfortable, and the whole hotel aesthetic was warm and welcoming. I’m not sure when the next time we will be back in Miami, but we will definitely be looking to stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Miami.
