Overview

Boutique Art Deco hotel in the heart of Miami’s South Beach nightlife scene

The Lowdown

Just steps from the sand and surrounded by South Beach’s hottest nightlife, this 99-room Art Deco–era property has a modern, artistic look. Guest rooms are a minimum of 350 square feet and feature iPod dock stations, Keurig coffeemakers, plush bathrobes, flat-screen televisions, and rainfall showers. The trendy décor blends colorful patterns with futuristic furniture. For relaxation, a rooftop terrace offers shaded lounge chairs and views of the bustling scene, and the glassed-walled plunge pool offers another spot to unwind. Towels are provided to guests lounging at the beach, and there’s live music in the evening at the hotel’s seafood restaurant and bar.

In the Area

Just next door to the property is the iconic Mangos Tropical Café, a sizzling restaurant with nightly shows that feature belly dancers, conga and samba. Free bicycles are included in the resort fee, and a short ride will take you to Nikki Beach, a landmark beach club and cabana bar that’s perfect for Sunday brunch followed by lounging in the sun. Miami also has an underwater playground, so scuba divers can explore numerous coral reefs, shipwrecks and the unique — but slightly creepy — Neptune Memorial Reef (an underwater cemetery). There’s also sailing, kayaking, hang-gliding, windsurfing, and an array of other water sports. For a fabulous dinner and creative cocktails, head to the Bazaar by José Andrés for unforgettable tapas and indoor/outdoor dining.

wonderful vacations!!
Reviewed 1 week ago

The location is perfect for parties. Music and fun all the time.
Bedrooms clean and spacious. But the higlight of this hotel is the service. In special the manager Mr. Alli, the supervisor George and the frontdesck girls. They did all their best to make our 7 days stay the best possible. And they got it!!!! We realy enjoy our stay at the Breakwater and for sure will return in the next vacation.

Great Hotel/Location

The service here was great. My only complaint is trying to get in contact with someone prioir to my arrival was a little confusing because its multiple Hotels in one. Other than that the staff was nice and helpful. The room was way better than expected (I always keep my expectations low) and the free breakfast was a nice addition. The other thing I would say is it's right in the middle of all the action (loud music/noise). I grew up with that so it didn't bother me. But if u like quite you may want to rethink this spot.

My stay was great. As a repeat guest I love this hotel and more know with it it's new look

My room was great as usual. Great bed. The location and amenities were great as always. The workers are very helpful and the manager was very helpful when we asked them to talk to him to have something explain to us.

Very good location

The room, location and amenities are good. The cleaning staff is very anxious to clean the room and disturbed us 2 days in a row. I was charged an extra 50$ for my stay and there is a clear miscommunication between the reservation and billing team. Be careful!

Enjoyed the Breakwater

The hotel was very nice, this is a great place to stay when you want to be in the middle of all the action on South Beach, everything is in walking distance and the rooms are great. The free breakfast is good and the front desk was so helpful and chundavi and George are always smiling at me , helping with water towels and chairs at my need. It was overall a nice experience and i will be back Breakwater, thank you!
