Relaxing with the family

We stayed at the Carillon for four days. The check in was a lengthy process. The front door wasn’t very friendly. It feels more like an apartment lobby than a hotel lobby. No one ever really greets you. Employees just sit at there desks. The valet is excellent. Car was there on time. The workout facility and the men’s area is on point. Very top notch. The rooms are nice but not 5 star. The pools are average. No service at all. The sunset pool is nice. The beach area is probably the best. There is also a Publix across the street.

Great beach and top notch service

The Carillon has unparalleled service and amenities for an ocean front resort. We went with a 2 and 6 year old and our every need was catered to. Marcus and Derik at the beach are so friendly and helpful getting us set up each morning and making sure the kids have beach toys and water. The breakfast wait staff including Akis, Maria and Alberto are so attentive and friendly. We feel so special when there. Finally the ocean water was so clear and warm and we could walk out 100 yards it was so shallow. Perfect.

Perfect location for total relaxation

From the moment our taxi pulled up the customer service was amazing. The Valet (I think his name was Frank) showed us in to reception where we were checked in by a very helpful guy whilst we enjoyed bubbles and iced tea. Then Daniel showed us to, and around our beautiful apartment. (Throughout our stay, whenever he saw us around, Daniel always referred to us by name, ensuring that we were enjoying our stay and had everything we needed).

The apartment itself was perfect for us travelling with 2 teenagers. 2 large bedrooms, one with a Kingsize and balcony and one with 2 Queen sized beds. PLUS a lounge area, with a second balcony, kitchen (with washer/dryer and dishwasher) and 2 spacious and well equipped bathrooms. The room was cleaned usually by lunchtime (Francoise I think was our maid's name was so friendly!) plus an evening turn down service with bottled water provided. There is a Publix supermarket and Starbucks across the street.

Although there are a vast range of classes on offer, we only took advantage of morning meditation which was amazing overlooking the ocean. My husband and son used the gym daily and it was large, well equipped and again, overlooking the ocean. The spa area was lovely. Steam, sauna and igloo. Hot stone loungers and hot tub. Plenty of towels, ice cold face clothes. My daughter and I had the place virtually to ourselves on the 2 occasions we visited it.

At the pools (4 of them to choose from) and private beach (a 1 minute walk across the boardwalk) we were again met by outstanding staff. Freddy, Ricky, Juan, Miracle, Stanley to name but a few. Again, plenty of towels were provided and ice cold water was regularly delivered to you on your lounger without you even need to ask.

We also dined at The Strand twice. Both times the food was of a high quality and well cooked. Waiting staff and bar staff all really good (especially Al at the bar!)

All in all the location, property and staff made for an unforgettable break and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and hope to return.

Continues as a top destination

4 swimming pools, beach service, proximity to Publix, Walgreens, restaurants... look for Stanley at the beach. Assured to give you an awesome service and smile. Knows how to treat people. Staff in general is coming back to a great level of service after a period of transition in the building. Always great to be here!

Beach service needs to improve!!

We stayed here in an apartment our friends borrowed us. We were not host in the hotel, because had our own apartment. We used the pool service was great! We also used the valet parking in the north tower and it was excellent! All was going great till today! We were at the beach and saw a girl that’s part of the beach crew called “Sonia” who took all the things some people had in their chairs and deposited the beach towels and their belongings into the dirty towels bag. She proceeded to take off the umbrella and gave it to another guest. She seemed rude and having a hard day, which is never an excuse to touch things that doesn’t belong to you. When people came from the sea, his belongings were not where he left those. Another lady was in the chair where he was sitting and he was upset and also the other women sitting in the chair. She didn’t know that people were actually in her spot before. The guy who was originally sitting there lost his AirPods and glasses. Which were in the towel and the lady Sonia decided to put them in the trash... I saw all by my eyes and saw how she disappeared and left when people started wondering where his belongings were! Incredibly irresponsible! This ruined our stay since we are now afraid the same will happen to us!
