How to Get There
Stayed for 4 nights with friends.
Bed was super comfy. Great facilities including safe, great bathroom, small kitchenette but very functional.
Nice balcony area.
Breakfast in the hotel was poor, in my opinion.
Cant fault anything else.
This hotel is priced well, especially for one with a full kitchenette. They supply pots and pans, salt and pepper, cutlery and other utensils. The balcony has a small cabana that made eating breakfast in the morning very relaxing. It is a short drive to Lincoln mall, and a block from Ocean Drive and the beach. Big Pink, a restaurant next door, offers some great food at all hours and at reasonable prices. However, when my boyfriend and I purchased our stay, we were excited to see that one of the advertised selling points was a soundproofed room, but in NO way at all are these rooms soundproofed. In fact, this hotel was one of the worst hotels for neighbor noise that I’ve ever stayed in. I could literally hear our neighbor’s entire conversation, and they weren’t talking loudly. It was unbearable. The noise from outside (though situated in a more quiet area) was also unnerving. I woke up several times during our first night’s stay. I ended up buying earplugs at the store.
The location of this boutique hotel was excellent! Walking to distance to the main beach and a street a way from Ocean Dr. I liked this hotel because it was located in such a spot where you weren't surrounded by the noise. The staff was so lovely I had valet parking and every time I needed the vehicle at a particular time it was always on time. The rooms were spacious great that it had a kitchen and it was separate from the main room which I liked.
It is a gem! I will be back soon and to Rudolfo, his team and to Maria and the house keeping team they were brilliant. I miss the place already as well as Miami :(
I really liked Blanc Kara. In my opinion it’s in the best part of South Beach, being in a more tranquil area several blocks south away from the crowds and noise of the epicentre of Ocean Drive. It’s also a short walk to one of my favourite and atmospheric places - South Pointe Park. On arrival you can see the hotel is cared for and the whole place is finished with a nice eye for detail and design.
Kind and helpful staff. Our room was wonderfully quiet and surprisingly large - it was actually a small suite really with a sofa seating area and a small and reasonably well equipped kitchenette in which we prepared a simple meal one evening. It was extremely clean, the bathroom lovely with a wonderful big shower and with nice details like quality soaps and gels, and nice comfy robes. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and made up with very good quality linens. The breakfast is decent if not exceptional in a pleasant breakfast room off the main lobby.
There really isn’t much to criticise Blanc Kara for in my opinion. Perhaps there are some signs of erosion in the bathroom but it’s a small detail that I hope the management will stay on top of. I feel some of the negative reviews are somewhat unfair - I don’t think this hotel pretends to be a five star with bell boys and a large retinue of staff. It’s essentially a very smart guest house and as such does a great job. Great value for money given the quality and location, and even more so given we had recently stayed in a grotty place in North Beach in the same price range, and another guest house in Key West that was more expensive and quite possibly the worst place I have ever stayed in. Arriving at Blanc Kara from there was a real breath of fresh air! I would definitely return here.
The location of this boutique hotel is excellent, walking distance to most important sites in Miami beach (the airport bus stops nearby) and yet it is so quiet! Great to have such a spacious room with our own little kitchen/dining area and sitting area and comfortable bed! The shower had plenty of hot water and the towels, soft and fluffy ....nice! On our arrival, the receptionist was friendly and helpful, the only disappointment was breakfast....probably comparing it to the quality of the hotel in general. Great value for money though in Miami Beach and would definitely recommend.
