We stayed at 1818 Meridian Avenue as it is close to the port and the airport. However, taxis are expensive. We paid £53 (pre booked) from the airport and €30 dollars to the cruise port. It is therefore advisable to download the Uber app before you go as we were informed later that Ubers are cheaper in America. The apartment was very well located, within easy walking distance to the supermarket and Lincoln Mall and a bit further (but still within walking distance) to South Beach. The apartment is very well equipped with a fitted kitchen, washing machine and dryer which was useful as we could do our laundry before leaving. The staff were very helpful, they ordered us a taxi and printed tickets for our admission to Jungle Island. The only negatives are that the apartment is quite cold and also the boiler is very noisy and unfortunately comes on during the night. However we enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we ever return to Miami.

After resort fees and parking it ended up being a fairly expensive 1 night stay. The comforter appeared to have stains and their lotion they had was empty. They also have something set up that sprays a scent, and if you are sensitive it is very strong. I woke up and could barely swallow because my throat burned so bad and I was sick for a week after staying there. All they offered was their apologies. I am not happy with my stay and won't be staying there again. I could also hear people all night, the room is not very sound proofed. At one point it sounded like somebody was trying to open our door.

8 days stay in Miami Beach

We stayed in 1818 Meridian House for 8 days. We had a really good time. This place is right outside the Miami Convention Centre and in walking distance from Lincon Avn shopping street, Hollocast Memorial, Botanical Garden, Beach and a lot of other tings. There are also just 500 m to Publix where you can buy grosseries. The staff is very nice and helpful. The apartments have thin walls, but we were lucky with our nabours, they were quiet most times. One ting that I did not like was that people was smoking in the Garden right outside the apartments. The smell of the smoke came in to the apartment, and there was not so nice for us who did not smoke to sit outside. We could also hear the people outside in the Garden very well, so glad that they were quiet at night. An other ting was that the housekeeper could pay more attention on the toialett paper we had to ask for new almost every day, they did not fill up in the room. And small towals, one day we resieved a lot of towels, the next day they were gode, and we haven't even used them. Expect from that everything was fine. We had parking space the whole time. Miami Beach was great. We will absolutely stay here again.
