How to Get There
We were only there one night so we didn’t get to enjoy it as much as we would have liked. Nice pools. Good breakfast.
Easy walk to the bustling night life.
The gift shop was cute. We bought a painting from a local artist and they took it off the frame and wrapped it for travel for us. They had a beautiful dress with painting on it that are custom made. Only wish we had more time so I could have ordered one.
This hotel has all its common areas in an open colonial style and therefore not air conditioned: That makes visiting the bar heavy going and playing pool and visiting the bar - a type of endurance game !
The building has a rather grand yesteryear feel and the rooms feature heavy use of timber and are clean small and ever so slightly dated ? Essentially everything except ones room and the restaurant has no air con ;
The pool ( two of them ) are huge and lovely in every way and makes the place ;
The river Mekong is at the end of the garden and a short walk south brings you to a bustling restaurant area :
The staff are pretty good and the evening restaurant is excellent but very pricey by any standards?
So in summary an excellent located dated but attractive property with a great great pool :
Although we only spent one night at this hotel, we thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The room was spacious and clean and the staff were most helpful. We enjoyed the walk into Can Tho itself.
It was an ideal opportunity to explore the Mekong Delta. Of particular interest were the floating markets.
