My flight came in early, before my check-in time and the desk receptionist - Nadia Fellah, I asked for her name because she deserves to be recognized - was amazing! She got me a room (it was just before midnight) made sure I knew where to go, gave me options for dining even at that late hour and was a pleasure to work with.
She made what was a very long day seem much better. Thank you Nadia!
Well done at the Westin!
I really wanted to like this hotel. Very close to the Biotech company I work for, large, nice gym, nice pool. Friendly staff who try hard despite being totally overworked (and udner-resourced).
But - every time I stay here ( twice so far, always on an expense account), two things go wrong.
First time I stayed, both the toilet and the coffee machine broke down, admittedly got fixed within 24 hours but still, not ideal for supposed business hotel.
Second time I stayed, the room safe was broken from the start and proved impossible to repair despite 48 hours and numerous calls to reception, and the front door to the room actually broke and needed repair.
All in all, this place skimps on staff and maintenance despite high prices... Profit-maximising of this kind surely works when you have a great location, but next time my expense account and I will go somewhere else.
Lovely hotel with a luxury ambiance; elegant fine-dining restauant; ultra-comfortable beddings that enhance one’s quality of sleep; responsive, albeit understaffed front-desk staff; ease in getting a late checkout; breakfast crew seemingly stretched thin or overwhelmed (several wedding guests); outstanding breakfast buffet spread; seemingly a rare gem find.
I would like to start by saying that the guest service I have received here was exquisite! The personalized guest service and the details they put in to ensure you receive the best experience possible, has really elevated their service. It's all about the details and special touches! The check-in agent I had was fantastic! He was very personable, attentive, had excellent communication skills and was very informative on the hotel's amenities, services and parking. Having stayed at Westin locations before in other cities, I already knew I would receive stellar service, however this check-in agent had gone above and beyond. I left the hotel for to go into Boston, and once I returned, there was a lovely hand-written card that had been sent to my room from the check-in agent wishing us a pleasant experience. I was so pleased with this gesture, and the fact that it was hand written was a wonderful, personalized touch.
Onto the room and property. Our room was facing west, and overlooked the I-95 and the Cambridge Reservoir. Watching the sunset over the reservoir was beautiful! The bed was the epitome of comfort, and the room was tastefully decorated, with lovely modern touches; such as the lights on the headboard. The lobby and property was beautiful.
Overall we had an exceptional stay and will absolutely be returning on our next trip to the Boston area.

The pool area is dated and in need of an overhaul.
It took us close to two hours to get a crib brought to the room when we had a baby and a toddler that were overtired for a nap. We even called ahead, an hour before checking in to make sure that it would be in our room when we got there. Also, we were double charged for our stay which was quickly rectified but took 20 minutes of unnecessary front desk time to do so.
Very friendly staff. Cecil at the front desk is very nice and a warm personality. A true asset.
