From. warm welcome, fresh sheets, hot coffee, and friendly smiles i entered again. Restaurant service staff are A+, they go above and beyond to ensure dietary, likes/ dislikes are tended to.Then each day they remember you.
Room - spacious, well lit, appropraite furnishings, heat/ AC were perfect. Shower/ tub clean. Fridge at a good temperature. Front desk is A+ for customer service. Thet each have a niche and ensure quality service at their hotel.
Pool / hot tub are clean, well stocked, attached to the very updated gyn with all kinds of equipment ( boxing bag, yoga mats,weights, treadmill, elliptical) with restrooms close by.

They afford a complimentary van to the local mall, train station and airport.
The quick train ride to Boston is a great way to be environmentally friendly and abouts cars. Parking etc.

Awful, no compensation, lateness ruined my wedding

First off, we just got married, and this is the story how Marriott hotel ruined our wedding day.

My husband and I are frequent customers with Marriott. We decided to book this hotel the night before the wedding because it was close to our house and the venue.

The night before the wedding my maid of honor and I asked the front desk to bring up a stool which was going to be used for the makeup artist and hair stylist. We needed the stool no later than 6am the next day. They told me there wasn’t enough staff, but they could bring it up at 5-6am the next morning. Since this met my needs, I accepted the fact that I had to wait. Although, this seems a little odd that the hotel “didn’t have enough staff” seeing as all that was needed was two stools.

When morning came no stools had been delivered, and no call from the front desk. My maid of honor and I called the front desk at 6am about the stools and they said they are on the way. At 6:30am, the stools had not arrived so we called again.

Mind you, I have 5 bridesmaids and the ceremony starts at 10:30am and still no stools at 7 am. Everything was delayed and nothing was getting done because we needed the stools for the makeup and hair stylist. We called 9 times in total, me, all my bridesmaids, the makeup artists, and the hair stylist. No one thought of a solution to help us out and they knew that my wedding is on this day.

We were 45 minutes late, my husband waited at the alter thinking that something might’ve happened.

It was stressful at the reception because we were set back all because of Marriott. Everything was cut short, we only had 30 minutes of dance time and at the end, I didn’t enjoy my wedding at all.

The next day, my husband and I went up to the front desk and complained about the service. The manager directed his staff to discount $100.00. We felt that this was an issue we needed to personally speak to the manager. He started by saying all he could do was the $100 off and there is nothing he can do but look into the issue. He came across more dismissive rather than sympathetic. Stated there is nothing he could do and “wish he could have brought the stools up but he wasn’t there”. He gave us the nothing I can do response ended up giving us one night off our two night stay. The manager didn’t seem to care about upholding a standard for the hotel.

Marriott, I cried all day at my wedding not because I was happy, but because I was frustrated how this situation was poorly handled. The reception and activities was cut short and I did not enjoy my once-in-a-lifetime event because of the carelessness of the staff and the dismissive manager.

Heather and the other gentlemen that was on staff at the front desk during check in around 4 pm on Friday March 8, 2019 helped us with anything we needed.

Bad attitude of hotel restaurant manager and staff

A female staff called me at around 2220 and informed me the takeaway food is ready for pick up and I told her that I will go down in 10 minutes, as I was about to take shower.

Within the 10 minutes and right after my shower, the restaurant manager Jen called me again and shouted at me in the phone and asked whether I will go down for the food pick up or not. Her tone of voice was very rude and nasty on the first conversation in the phone call, and I wasn’t sure was she the one called me during the first phone call, and I told her that I’ve informed her colleague on the previous phone call and saying that I will go down in 10 minutes.

I was not able to tolerate her bad attitude, especially I was feeling exhausted after such a long flight. I clarified with her in person at the restaurant and I complained about her bad attitude and she apologised in a not a sincere way.

Besides, one of my colleague told me another male was so nasty to my colleague when she pick up the takeaway food in the restaurant too.

Last but not least, the food quality was inferior and the price is expensive too!

Great Location for a Conference

My wife and I attended a real estate annual conference here. We stayed the night before so we wouldn’t have to leave early in the morning.

Our room was located on the top floor. We had a king bedroom room. Very clean, spacious and quiet.

We went to the restaurant/bar located near the lobby. Great drinks and appetizers that were reasonably priced.

Conference rooms were very spacious. The food served throughout the day was very good. The staff was very helpful and accommodating.

We wished we could have stayed a second night. We will definitely stay here again and hope to return for the conference next year.

Nice hotel, reasonably priced in a location convenient for Boston and environs

Ok, it is a standard Marriot hotel with beige walls in the room, but it is a good example of what this type of hotel should be.
Rooms are clean, a good size and reasonably priced.
The hotel is quiet with no road noise despite the proximity to main routes.
Good base for travelling in and out of Boston and Cambridge if you a kid the expressway. Excellent free parking.
A small Starbucks in the bar area is a ni e feature.
USB charging sockets would be a nice addition.
Would I come back? Simple answer is yes.
