Great, affordable and convenient

Admittedly, I was hesitant to book the Inn with it being so close to the airport. (We fly out of JFK in NYC). However, Nantucket Airport is NOT JFK! We barely heard a plane in the 4-days/3-nights we stayed. Plus, it is so convenient being able to hop off your plane and check directly into the Inn - just drop your bags and head out for the day. Along those lines, knowing you are so close to the airport, there are no worries when planning your day around getting back to the airport to leave the island.

The grounds are kept immaculate. We had a garden-view room. The garden is covered in cherry blossom trees, which were in full bloom. Just beautiful! There are lounge chairs and tables to relax and enjoy the beauty of the garden.

We did not use the facilitates, but there is a very nice indoor pool and gym. Had we had better weather though, I would have loved to come home and taken a dip in the pool. Mom’s Breakfast is very good, served buffet-style. Although I don’t typically enjoy a buffet breakfast, everything is extremely fresh (the waffle batter and waffle grille sits right there, so you can watch/grab a fresh waffle being made). There is a small bar and lounge area, which is very cozy and welcoming. I still never found out what a “Jamaican shot” is, but the bartender was offering them up as a specialty. The bar is the perfect spot to enjoy an early evening cocktail before heading out to town.

The free shuttle service in and out of town is a major selling point. It runs every hour during the day, but then after 6:00 p.m. every half hour. It also picks up and drops off at a local Irish bar we unfortunately never made it to, Kitty Murtagh. Any hotel that brings me to and from an Irish bar gets 5-stars automatically!

Finally, the service is fantastic. Every staff member greets you with a huge smile. I am disabled, and everyone went out of his/her way to assist me. That goes a long way in my book!

Given some of the outrageous prices for hotels on the island (We stayed at The Wauwinet on our last trip), the Inn is affordable and perfect if you don’t need to be directly in-town or directly next to the beach.

The Easiest Commute from The Airport You'll Ever Have

This inn is perfect for solo travelers to ACK since it's literally across the street from the airport. In a major city, that would be strange/loud/etc. but in Nantucket it's still serene. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfast's in the morning are bountiful. The inn provides complimentary shuttle service regularly to town and the beaches so you never feel like you're away from it all. They also have bike rentals, a really nice pool with a bar, great wifi if you still need to work and a nice lobby bar if you want an adult beverage to start or end your evening. Love this place!

Another Wonderful Visit!

Every year our family looks forward to staying at the Nantucket Inn and this year was no exception! Our room was clean and comfortable. The rooms are centered around courtyards creating a quiet environment. Facilities, such as the pools and lobby/bar areas, are well appointed. The hotel van service is easy to use and timely. Another nice feature is the proximity to the bike path. You are able to rent bikes at the hotel and can easily bike around the island. The staff at the hotel is as nice as you will find on the island. They always go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Mom’s Breakfast in the dining room serves an excellent breakfast. We will return again next summer and are already looking forward to it.

Stayed at the Nantucket Inn for two nights, September 12 and 13, 2017. I was told that a shuttle would pick us up at the Ferry when booking the hotel. Unfortunately when I called to advise of our arrival they told us the pick up was several blocks from the ferry so we had to walk with our luggage through the busy cobblestone streets to find the shuttle pickup. Upon check-in we were directed to our room which was a little tricky to find since we were two buildings back in the corner. We were offered no help with our luggage and had to pull it along while trying to navigate to our room. The room itself was ordinary but comfortable. We inquired about changing hotels for our second night. The front desk staff just said if we checked out we would loose the money we had already paid. They never inquired as to why we wanted to leave. The bar attendant and the staff at the buffet were both very pleasant along with most of the shuttle staff. But.... for over $400 per night I expected a much nicer experience.

We love staying at the Nantucket Inn. The staff is wonderful, so friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We have the best breakfast on the island every morning, the Mom's breakfast! We love sitting outside watching the planes. We also love the pools, they are a great place to relax after the beach or on a rainy day. The Inn is close to town and beaches. You can't find a better place to stay, we look forward to coming back every year!
