Lovely celebratory stay!
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We were celebrating my birthday and our anniversary so we scheduled a mini golf trip. The Centennial House was recommended to us. We were warmly greeted at the lovely 19th century home and enjoyed the lovely Strawberry Bank room. Our breakfast was a wonderful combination of fresh, home baked rhubarb scones, delicious banana bread French toast made with Grand Marnier, bacon and maple syrup. It was a delightful stay and we look forward to returning with our family for them to enjoy this lovely B&B with us.

Great place to put up visiting family

I live in Northfield and The Centennial House is a great place to put family. Joan and Steve are so welcoming, the rooms are lovely and the setting is peaceful. I also highly recommend Joah's baking!!

A thoroughly enjoyable visit...

My wife and I stayed at the Centennial House for 2 nights.
Upon arrival, we were cheerfully greeted by our hosts Joan & Steve. We stayed in the Sturbridge Room which was clean, comfortable, and very nicely appointed. The room features a carved four poster bed, pillow-top queen mattress, and a space for reading or watching the cable TV. The en-suite bathroom had a spacious shower, hair dryer, and an abundance of luxurious towels & wash cloths.
The first mornings' breakfast started off with delightful fresh cut fruit and freshly baked apple turnovers followed by quiche, home fries, and bacon. The second morning we once again enjoyed fresh cut fruit along with home-made popovers and a generous portion of fluffy pancakes. And of course bread for toasting, coffee, tea, and juices was also available each morning.

The Centennial House is a beautiful old B&B which is well-maintained and discreetly appointed throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed our room & breakfast(s) and just as importantly our pleasant conversation with our gracious hosts. Highly recommend!

"Inn"-magine

"Inn-magine" an inn with attentive owners, fascinating collectibles, engaging reading, squeaky clean, thoughtful touches, rooms with distinct character, & much more. My walk in the historic village was diverted by the natural history reading, & historic background binder of the area. I spent the rest of the afternoon upon arrival browsing the literature, art work, furniture, & journal. Yes, I did take a lovely hike on the way over!

Work brought me to the area. It was difficult leaving such a relaxing, lovely inn early the next day. I look forward to returning!

Comfortable, spacious room

Very clean and comfortable. We were greeted upon our arrival and given a brief tour of the home, our room, and where breakfast would be located the following morning. We were given options of what time we'd like to eat breakfast, and were served poached eggs over toast, fresh fruit, coffee, juice etc. We learned of the history of the B&B in addition to the surrounding area during our stay. We felt welcomed, and enjoyed our experience. I would highly recommend this B&B.
