How to Get There
The meridian Cambridge has been my “old reliable” for many years now, as I often visit Boston to see friends. I really enjoy seeing the familiar, friendly faces of the staff (Lulzim has opens the door here to greet me and always makes me feel like I am coming home). , many of whom have worked here for years. This says they are doing something right at the Meridian.
I was at the Meridien Boston Cambridge for a science meeting; the hotel was chosen by the organisers of the meeting. Everything was good in that hotel; staff was friendly and helpful. Two minor things are preventing me from giving a full "excellent" mark:
a) the air condition and the fridge in the room were too loud.
b) the breakfast could have a wider choice at the buffet; for a hotel of this level, I expect more than what they offered.
Otherwise, I think this is an excellent hotel and I recommend staying there if you are in Cambridge.
I'm on the 2nd night of a two night stay. My room is very nice and the location near MIT is great, but I'd not stay here again. First, every time I've called the front desk it's at least a five minute wait to reach anyone. I get the 'We care about you and value your call' message. If they did, they'd have enough people to answer the phone. Terrible service. Second, I can't get email on my PC through their Internet. Skip this place if you care about getting business done.
