How to Get There
The days before we had been to the W in NY Times Square - didn’t like it that much there, so I wasn’t sure if I made the right decision choosing W for Boston too. But it was! Although I didn’t get an upgrade the room was large and it was great! The staff was very nice. The location is perfect for exploring boston. AND the breakfast options for the platinum breakfast are awesome! You are not limited at all, that was a big disadvantage of the W in NY. However, I don’t know if they had constructions or something but it was really loud in the mornings. Sleeping in was not an option...
Despite that the Hotel has all you need! I highly recommend it!
We arrived and got a room on the stop at the hotel without any prior reservations. All was fine, gave my card and checked in. Next morning the front desk says that the credit card was invalid, however I check my bank statement and the charges went through, I thought ok maybe a mistake or it was taking a while to go through. The hotel says the card is declined so I ask my friend to give her card as we were in a rush. The hotel charged her card and we left to go to lunch. We return to the hotel again in the evening and the front desk says that the charges still didn’t go through and we can’t stay at the hotel, they get a security guard to watch us pack the room up and scream at us for not being able to pay. Check the bank statements once again and I was charged and my fried got charged 800 dollars despite them saying the cards are declined and there’s nothing we can do about it.
I have never experienced this in my life, to be kicked out of the hotel with security escorting is out and yelling and just being extremely rude the entire time while they charged us 1.6k for a 500 dollars room rate.
Worst hotel, worst staff, worst experience, may call the police because this was extremely unacceptable.
DONT EVER STAY HERE!!!!
I would seriously not recommend anyone to stay at the W in Boston. Not only was the quality of the hotel extremely poor, they overcharged us by 800 dollars and when we tried to get our money back they claimed that they could not access our reservation. Additionally, the staff is extremely rude specifically the manager and the security team who do not know how to speak to clientele. 0/10 would not reccomend.
I’ve come to love the W brand. This hotel is in a pretty good spot in Boston, can’t complain. It’s definitely not as nice as other W properties. But does the job and pricing is usually reasonable. I would definitely choose AC Boston maybe over this one if I had to. But you still can’t go wrong
This hotel is modern, welcoming, and perfectly situated in Boston close to a ton of entertainment. What I love most about this W is the ambient lighting found throughout the ENTIRE hotel. Walking in, enjoying a drink at the bar, or walking through the lobby to the elevators, so many details and design elements make you feel like you're in a different place.
The rooms were extremely clean and quiet, and even though mine was facing the street the noise wasn't too bad. The bar downstairs was actually really good and fairly priced - the truffle fries were amazing as were the cocktails. They have plenty of seating downstairs in the lobby which I appreciated in the morning so I could work on my laptop while enjoying breakfast. The staff are extremely friendly and the Valet was fast each time I needed my vehicle. Love staying here!
