How to Get There
Spent Easter weekend (2 nights) in the Westin Copley Place. AMAZING Charles River view from 34th floor. Check in staff so friendly, baggage guys very helpful. Location is right where we wanted to be. We accidentally left our "do not disturb" sign on the door, and missed getting our room cleaned. I called down for sheets and they came right up...and THEN cleaned the room while we were out for dinner. Thanks!
Centrally located in Copley Square in Boston, next to The Copley Plaza Fairmont Hotel and Prudential building.
Signature heavenly bed is very comfortable, but might be too high for elderly.
Room facing the north (from 01-13)have stunning Charlse river view.
The River View Studio Suite have the same size as the Executive Suite, but with better layout , bright and spacious. They have Starbucks coffee machine in the room.
Club room guests and Marriott Bonvoy Platinum and above members can use the Club lounge located on 5/F, serving breakfast with very fresh fruits , juice , and other options till 9:30am (10am on Saturday and Sunday ), while some marriott hotels close the lounge during weekends. The lounge offers bottled water and snacks like bananas all day.
Fitness room located on 5/F, has lots of options for cardio, free weights and some lifefitness equipment.
The hotel was newly renovated in 2018c makes it great choice to stay in Central Boston.
Beautiful hotel in great location for conference at Hynes Convention Center. Able to walk there without going outdoors. This Westin is probably the nicest one I’ve stayed in 15 years.
Beautifully decorated and maintained. My room had a fantastic view of the river and the city. Nothing to criticize.
Great location for exploring Boston. Easy connection to Logan airport uing Back Bay Express for $7.50 per person, and it stops/picks up right opposite the hotel. Hotel room was fantastic, went for the corner suite on 27th floor. Wow what a view of the river and the city skyline. Room was really large with large windows all round. Huge wall mounted TV, superb comfy huge bed and great bathroom with very large shower. Would definitely recommend this place. Concierge really knowledgable and helpful, sorted our tour out for us no problem.
As a participant in the Boston Marathon, I booked well in advance only to find out the day before check-in that they had overbooked, knew about it months ago and were hoping enough people would cancel that they wouldn't be caught out (that's what I was told by the Westin). If I had been informed as soon as they knew there was a problem I would have tried to find another hotel close by.... or maybe they could have moved me to another Marriott property close by...
NOPE...They moved me to the Westin Boston Waterfront - two miles from the finish. As a result, I spent less time & money at marathon-related events, had to travel to buy sundries (most stores, cafes, etc near Boston Waterfront are closed on the weekend). They barely acknowledged there was a marathon in town (although the coffee convention next door was pretty cool)
I will say they compensated me for the inconvenience but that misses the point. I booked in advance (almost a year) to ensure I was close to the finish and to enjoy the great experience to the Boston Marathon is. How can I trust Marriott and its systems for crucial events? Won't book weddings or parties there for sure!
