How to Get There
I’ve stayed here for both business and pleasure and love the central location. You can get anywhere in town via cabs and the T. There are so many restaurants close by and the Commons are so close for a nice post-dinner stroll. Would definitely stay here again ‘
Recently had a 3 night stay at the Westin Copley Place. Check in was very quick and efficient. Staff was very friendly. I had a corner room with a gorgeous view of Copley Square and the Charles River in the background. The room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable.
My only complaint is in regard with the air conditioner. These are recently renovated rooms with new air conditioning units. These new units seem to be unable to keep up with the heat outside. It wasn't particularly hot outside (low to middle 80"s ) and the room thermostat read 72 degrees, but felt much, much warmer than that. and, even setting up the unit to 67 degrees, the room temperature (according to that thermostast) never read below 72. Talking to other people staying at the hotel at the same time, it seemed that this was a common problem.
Very large property, but a nice rooms and great location. A year ago when I stayed at the hotel I received an email from the hotel a week in advance to query whether I had any special requests for my stay they could help me with. As a result I was given a very nice room and generally felt welcome. This time there was no acknowledgement of my frequent guest level before or at the time of check in. Had to call them to ask the wifi charges to be removed. When asked about upgrade I was just told they were fully booked. Even though the guy checking in front me had a long conversation about the three upgrades possibilities he was given. What I realized is this changes the way you perceive the hotel. Suddenly you look at the room with very critical eye. The rooms are decent, but the refurb that was done recently is clearly not "no expense spared". Then again, given the supply constraints in Boston doubt they need to make the extra effort. Time to try another property in Boston.
I always love staying at Westin’s properties for their beds, but this one is a gem because of its location. Love Westin Copley Place. This is the only hotel I stay at when I visit Boston.
Super clean, super nice staff, best location and at a very good price.
For our 40th anniversary, we had a corner suite on an upper floor with a view of the Charles River. The front desk agent (A.Rossi) was very welcoming and even sent delicious choc strawberries to the room on our second day. We booked Go Boston shuttle online to come from the airport, but we realized later that the blue airport shuttle bus ($7 round trip pp) has a drop off at Copley Square very conveniently located across from the hotel. I can’t say enough about the convenience of this hotel. A covered elevated walkway leads to a mall and the Hayes convention center. It is easily accessible to the train/subway. The Old Town Trolley (which is the better one of the two in my opinion) has a stop at Copley Square, there is a nearby CVS, and plenty of restaurants. We especially enjoyed Capital Grill, Flours bakery, The Friendly Toast, Joes American Bar and Grill, and Atlantic Fish Company (get the sea bass chowder). The Westin Concierge staff is extremely helpful to give maps and directions of the area.(I attached a pic of the map they provided with some of our favorites circled) There is a Starbucks just outside the Westin on floor 2 in the connected Mall. Always seemed to be crowded. The Westin has a little market called Ingredients that serves Starbucks coffee. I ordered a caramel macchiato, and could tell no difference from what I would normally order from Starbucks. (But no line) overall great stay.
