How to Get There
I stayed here for a long weekend with my mother visiting me from the U.K.
The room was very well appointed and looked out on to the street, making my mum very happy with her first visit to the states!
The hotel was in a fantastic location for sight seeing in Boston!
Service wasn’t amazing here.. housekeeping a little slack not replacing towels and toiletries each day, and service at the bar downstairs was the slowest I’ve come across in my time in the states.
We were disappointed to find out on arrival that the pool was closed for the season just a few days earlier as the weather was fantastic and my mum had really been looking forward to swimming in their rooftop pool.
The service here was absolutely exceptional. The concierges and room service folks I spoke to were very helpful, offering tips about local attractions and travel without prompting. The feature of the hotel that was by far the best part was the door man, Norman, who was a bright ray of sunshine and kindness. I was especially glad of this because I was in town for a job interview and so I was rather nervous, but Norman helped put me at ease. When one of my interviewers picked me up from the Colonnade in the morning, Norman greeted me by name and was so warm that my interviewer thought that I had been to the Colonnade many times before, when it was, in fact, my first time in Boston altogether. I am grateful for his kindness and exceptional service.
Staying here for a couple of nights. Hotel room is quiet and comfortable, and the location across from the Prudential Mall is excellent. The hotel feels a little tired and is certainly not pretty from the outside. The hotel is being refurbed at present which means there is no breakfast room. Not ideal. They are offering grab and go or you need to order from room service.
Overall a good hotel, but could use a room and hallway refresh. Everything was clean and all. Gym was above average (exercise balls need air), doorman and morning front desk were excellent. They do offer some complementary breakfast snacks along with coffee.
Love the rooftop bar and close to everything. The hotel was clean and the staff was accommodating. It is right across the street from a mall. We did the Duck Tour and that was okay...fun city - try to get to Rockport, that was our favorite place to stay.
