Great stay!

Just stayed overnight at the Bostonian for the first time. It is centrally located to all the attractions around the north end of Boston. The lobby is a bit dark for my taste, but clean, well organized and a friendly and helpful staff. The elevator felt like an express up to our 5th floor room! Speedy but pleasant. The hallways are carpeted and quiet. The room----two double beds----was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Each room had a wee balcony with an awning, geraniums in a window-box AND the doors opened so we could have some cool air from outside without having to use the air conditioner. There is a restaurant on the ground level which had a large breakfast menu-----something for everyone! The home fries are the only thing I cannot praise as they were way to overdone on the day we ate there. The rest of the food was delicious. We will definitely make the Bostonian our home base when visiting Boston. We recommend it highly.

Short vaca

We chose this place based on location and some reviews. The hotel itself was nice enough. However, housekeeping was poor. The daily housekeeping did not replenish things ...conditioner, towels, etc... even after calling for these things, took three attempts to get what was needed. Then found that clothes were missing, probably accidentally scooped up with linens. But when I called to inquire, housekeeping was of absolutely no assistance and did not offer to help in any way. Overall, disappointing service which I find to always make or break an impression. Will not return.

Very Comfortable...Perfect Location

My husband and I just returned from a 3 night stay at the Bostonian. We felt right at home at this property. We had the deluxe room with small balcony overlooking Faneuil Hall and the Quincey Market Area. We walked to Little Italy several times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel is perfectly located for seeing the sights and excellent dining options. Hope to return someday soon.
