Excellent, centrally located hotel!

We stayed at the Bostonian for 3 nights and were very impressed. This was our first trip to Boston and we did not rent a car, so we needed a hotel that was in walking distance to all the major attractions. We had no trouble walking all of the Freedom Trail from this hotel, as well as getting down to Long Wharf without an issue.

The hotel is located right across the street from Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, so there are many dining and shopping options less than a 5 minute walk away. The Haymarket subway stop is a few blocks from the hotel entrance, which we used to make it up to Harvard and down to Quincy Center to visit the John Adams NHP.

The Green Dragon Tavern and the Bell in Hand Tavern are within minutes of the hotel, as well as the Union Oyster House. No shortage of restaurants in the area.

The only complaint I have about this hotel is the live music that happens at the Quincy Market. Every evening, there is a musical act with microphone and speakers performing outside in front of the market. We could hear this music very clearly from our hotel room and made it difficult to sleep. The music didn't last past 10pm which is very reasonable, but for exhausted travelers that can't stay up late, it was inconvenient. But overall, a great experience at this hotel! The front desk would give us bottled water upon request which was much needed on the hot, humid days we spent in Boston. I would stay here again!

We were only there overnight. We could have parked in a public lot for cheaper, since there are others nearby that give a Groupon or discounts on parking websites. HOWEVER, we trusted the hotel and decided to have our car valet parked instead for convenience. BIG MISTAKE. The car was ransacked and many of my daughter's things were stolen from the center console, glove compartment and back seat, including among other things, our garage door opener, and work clothes. If a secured lot is used, then the video cameras will show who did this. We have the exact times that we left the car off and picked it up. I will be following up until the thief is prosecuted. DO NOT use the valet parking until the establishment changes the parking vendor or fires the employee responsible. I would definitely ask about this when making a reservation. This ruined our whole stay, and it is unfortunate because everything else was fine.

The absolute best in Boston!

Even though I am originally from the area, I frequently visit the city for a weekend to experience the great restaurants and beauty of Boston.
I have stayed at MANY, MANY hotels in all different areas but the Bostonian has to be at the top of the list! Not only for location and easy accessability to Copley, Seaport, Downtown Crossing, etc. but for the kindness and warm hospitality of the entire staff from the bellmen to the front desk to the restaurant wait staff. They are genuinely interested in making sure all their guests enjoy a positive experience.
I would give 6 stars if I could so don't hesitate to stay at the Bostonian - you will not be disappointed!
