How to Get There
This Hyatt is a very nice hotel, with lots of things to do. The pool is very nice, and there was plenty of chaise lounge space for the very busy weekend we were there. Rooms are a bit dated, but comfortable none the less (who spends time in their room?) We originally planned on staying only one night, after the wedding we attended, but the place had so much to do we added a second night. This hotel is tucked away nicely from Rt 50. I didn't give it 5 stars because there was really no where to get away from the volume of kids staying with families....there is an adults only section BY the pool, but not IN the pool, not that I saw anyway. Other than that, it has something for everyone. Did not have enough time to make use of the golf course.
Gorgeous location overlooking Choptank River. Hotel itself has a lot of amenities but is a little dated. Room had some nice features but bed was incredibly soft; mattress really needed replacing. Pricey.
Excellent service, room lovely and quiet, good accommodations and amenities, lots of choices to spend the day/evening; family oriented, great place for a wedding (it was like a dream).....Food was great, absolutely wonderful and highly recommend it.
We loved the Hyat, it was the perfect hotel for staying on property for a few days with everything we needed in one place. The rooms looked newly remodeled and the bed that lights up underneath when you get out of bed at night was a unique touch. The pools were wonderful. As a couple we appreciated the quiet infinity pool that had an adults only section and a no rough housing rule. But we also could appreciate how families would enjoy the kid friendly pool with the water slide and the indoor pool with kid movies played at night. While there were plenty of children around we could still relax and have an adult vacation with plenty of peace and quiet. There were many different types of restaurants to try and everything we had was good. Even the poolside food was tasty. The only thing we were disappointed about was how tiny the beach was. The photos gave us the impression it was a different size and we were looking forward to spending sometime in the sand but with a single family on the beach it felt too crowded for us. Not a deal breaker as we definitely enjoyed our stay.
While checking into the hotel, my car was struck by a guest. The valet advised the guest to flee the scene of the accident, then conspired with the hotel management to hide the identity of the driver. Hotel management refused to provide the guest's name and repeatdly lied regarding his whereabouts. Hotel security stated that Hyatt staff's action were in accordance with hotel policy. I had no choice but to call the police in order to compel the hotel staff to provide the name and contact information of the driver. The responding officer acknowledge the illegal action of the hotel staff.
