How to Get There
It’s been about 15 years since I’ve been back in Baltimore, checked on here to look for a place that people recommended to stay at as the four seasons and ivy were sold out. So I wanted to find some place with a good location, perhaps something that was new. The Hyatt has been around for a while, but it always seemed to have good business because of the superb location so it was down to this or the renaissance, over one of the newer hotels. I wanted to stay in the inner harbor as we were here for vacation and it seemed to make sense to be close to everything here. The hotel rooms could use a little updating but they do keep the rooms nice and clean, rooms also have amazing views of the harbor, the 60 inch tv in the room was a huge plus for me, as I was able to watch the nba playoffs on it. As it being Baltimore I don’t recommend walking out in the middle of the night to get stuff so it was great they have a 24 hour market. The lobby was nice with a fireplace to sit next to, also a very friendly and helpful staff. The feel of the hotel seems to be more for business and couples than it is for families.
Superior suite shower had no hot water. The hotel is extremely noisy. It could have been the room location but we noticed it also in the restaurant. The noise level from the bedroom to hallway was unacceptable. The staff was courteous and professional and were easy to deal with.
We had a beautiful corner room with a view of the Inner Harbor, The room was very clean and comfortable and well equipped. The most impressive feature of our stay was the friendliness and helpfulness of every staff member we encountered. We will definitely return to this hotel on our next trip to Baltimore.
In short and to sum it up, a lack of Leadership Management was visible in all parts of this hotel starting from front desk through check out ....and this was not my first time here however wil now be my last
Can't say enough about the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff at this location. EVERYONE greeted me as I met them and continually asked how my day was going. Housekeeping top notch. Wish I could take the shower home with me.
