How to Get There
Good location but not friendly to business travelers. Cannot check in until 4pm. Staff very unwilling to move up. Room only had electric outlets on one side of the bed. Not worth of the Autograph lable.
Great location, walk to everything or take a water taxi. Dine outside with a nice view or have a cocktail at the bar. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The area is very walkable and enough to do for a 2 or 3 day visit.
We stayed at the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel, Autograph Collection on a trip through Pack Up + Go. We had decided to come to Annapolis a day early but stayed at a hotel a little inland for the extra first night because of the price of this hotel - a Hilton Garden Inn. Unfortunately, the rooms at the HGI were 100% nicer at $140 a night than the $300+ a night rooms at this hotel.
The lobby was beautiful, albeit small, and the valet staff were excellent. Upon check in, we were able to get a room earlier than expected which was very nice. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely short with us, however, but that may have been because there was a huge line of at least 5 people waiting to either check in or check out and he was the only one behind the desk. When we opened our door, the first thing that we saw were two tiny beds. It definitely wasn't a 2 queen bed room that we thought we had. The room was tiny and all of the furniture was chipped or scratched. There were rust stains in the bathroom around the toilet and the sound of the elevator clanging seemed to echo in the bathroom.
The housekeeping staff were phenomenal as were the valet staff. The location is ideal and the dockside bar is excellent. According to some of the responses to the reviews, it sounds like the hotel is undergoing renovations - I'll definitely give this hotel another shot after the work is done because of the location in the heart of Annapolis.
.7 mile walk to Naval Academy and located on the historic brick-laden streets of historic Annapolis.
Nice, expansive bar/restaurant with huge beer selection and good happy hour. Rooms are okay, with the hallways a bit dated. But you’re here for location and access. Have fun.
My wife and I recently stayed at the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel for a long weekend without kids, and it was a perfect choice. We took a Junior Suite, and it was very nicely appointed with a king bed, and a couch. The valet parking was perfect, we did not touch our car all weekend, and the front desk staff was always friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. The dockside restaurant was great, although we only ate there once, on our first day, for lunch. The harbor view of ego alley cannot be beat. The best thing about the hotel, however, remains the location. We easily walked to Main Street and beyond for shopping and strolling. Very close to the visitors gate to the Naval Academy, and easy access to Eastport for more restaurant options either by a short walk over the drawbridge, or the water taxi. We had a great time, and would stay here again when we return.
