How to Get There
Receiving area was a joke. A white bath towel for a doormat, black bag filled with garbage, a couple beach chairs with towels and a tiny table with a small laptop for self check in. Definitely not a good first impression. Room 2 is a good size with a big dresser and ample closet but the bathroom is minuscule - size of a small half bath. Very clean. Asked for an extra blanket and was offered a throw - they don’t really have any?
No coffee anywhere in the place - only served in your breakfast basket delivered at 8-8:15 no other time so don’t think about requesting it earlier or later. Seriously? It’s a BED & BREAKFAST! How can you not have coffee for guests from 6-9am? Not impressed with this self service B&B for $300 a night. Service 2 stars overall 3 stars at best.
My hostel was space q capsules hostel which was just near to central station . Everything was next dor. KFC starbuck shopping malls Chinese Japanese thai food and massages everything. It was also walking distance to bigbus and further down was Sydney observation desk
We stayed 2 nights at this over-priced boutique hotel . Our room was very tiny- 3 floors up and not in the main building. We booked on line so we had no idea what we were getting into.
The young girl checking us in could not answer 2 basic questions regarding MV. Another woman was very unfriendly and made us not feel welcome in the coffee area. The ceiling was so low In the room that inhit my head getting out of bed. The bathroom was so tiny you could barely turn around in it and no where to put anything- making applying makeup impossible. The TV barely fit on a wall right next to the bathroom door and we knocked into it often.
We paid a good amount of money to stay here and it just was not worth it.
We had a wonderful time on a last minute holiday weekend getaway. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and light, The location was perfect: in the heart of Edgartown off the Water and Main St. The Sydney is our new go-to inn whenever visiting Edgartown in the future.
We stayed on a little getaway, first of all when we arrived I asked the manager to put the stay on my credit card as my wife had put a deposit down to hold the room and I wanted to use my card to use the points! The manager told me she had already charged the entire amount for a three day stay on my wife’s credit card almost 2 weeks prior to our arrival almost $2000 canadian dollars long before we even arrived!! I politely asked her to reverse it and put it on my card she made a big deal out of saying she sis not know how to do it but would look into it!! I inquired 3 more times during my stay and she said should would email me when it was done! She emailed us to say it was done but it never happened I had to go through a huge hassle with visa to change this when I got home!! Our room was tiny with a microscopic bathroom with no counter space had to ask for a hair dryer and the TV did not work managers reply was no big deal I have not watched TV in Years!! The manager prepares breakfast somewhere and brings it in just light munchies with a coffee bar fulll of cold coffee!! They charge huge prices for not a lot of service! The managers attitude was not hospitable at all !! I paid less money to stay at Ruebens at the Palace in London England and was made much more welcome with no rude behaviour and no sarcastic remarks from the manager the rest of the staff was very nice!! There is a much nicer hotel with many more amenities a block closer to the water for one third the price!! I would never recommend this place. We had to take turns getting ready to go out because the bathroom is so small and my wife was waiting for me in the courtyard and the manager told her to “forget your husband go shake that booty at the beach without him”. Do not even think about staying here!!
