How to Get There
Villa Maroc was a delightful experience after traveling for nearly 24 hours from the West Coast of the USA. The uniqueness of the property, hospitality and delicious food made for a memorable stay.
Villa maroc served the best tajine that we had in our entire stay in Morocco.
My kids and i would love to return.
If you are considering a visit to Essaouira, you should do it. If you are wondering where to stay, it’s easy: Villa Maroc. You simply must visit their sister property Les Jardins de Villa Maroc as well.
A gem of a hotel - aptly described as a hotel de charm - in the old city in Essaouira. A perfect stay in a beautiful traditional old house turned hotel in exotic surroundings, with such a welcoming, helpful and efficient staff. From Nabil and Bushra to Fatima and AbdurRahman, the reception, food and housekeeping staff are delightful. The proprietor too! Loved every minute of it. For a longer stay i would like to have access to a television in a common room/space at least but for a few days it was blissful to disconnect:-)
We stayed there 3 nights. This Riad is just lovely. Our Room was not ready when we arrived early in the morning, but we could store our bags at the reception for a few hours so we had time to explore Essaouria. The location is fantastic. It's right in the medina and in 5 minutes you can enjoy the sun at the beach. In the afternoon we could move into our room which was super clean, big and absolutely fine. Every corner of this hotel is decorated differently but everything in a typical Moroccan style. On the roof terrace with view to the port and the ocean we had breakfast every day which was delicious. The staff is very friendly and professional. The manager came every morning and was wishing a nice day to every guest and asked if everything is alright. She is from Switzerland so we could chat with her in German as well :) she is a really nice woman who speaks French, English, Swiss and German and wants her guests to feel comfortable and welcome. For us these 3 days were just perfect and we will come back any time again.
We had such a great time in Villa Maroc, it feels home far away from home. Everybody working at villa maroc is so friendly and helpful, for example Fatima, every morning she gave us a lovely very tasteful breakfast and giving us great tips and advice about what to do that day.
The riad is so beautifully decorated and there is a very good hamam!! We really would love to go back.
Breakfast at the rooftop with view over the old harbor and the sea and fireplaces everywhere makes you forget everything
