How to Get There
This was my first time staying at the Lodge at Tiburon. Nice location and easy access to the ferry. However, this was probably the worst hotels I've stayed as we were placed on the second floor where the above residents were very loud in the PM and woke us up at 6:30 AM with back and forth walking and banging (it was the worst!). I complained at the front desk but the noise did not settle until ~11 AM. The hotel only waived the resort fee which did not make up for the lost sleep and horrible experience. I don't plan to return to this hotel.
I must say that my pre-stay experience with the Lodge at Tiburon was not a good one. I tried to make an overnight reservation via their web site and also by sending an e-mail. I received no response to either one. Five days later I finally phoned them and told them about my experience but no apology was offered. The person did check the date I was interested in and told me that there were plenty of rooms available but since I was using a gift certificate I would need to speak to their manager who wouldn’t return for 2 days. I was told to call back then. When I indicated that I at least wanted to make a reservation I was transferred to the reservation desk where I was kept on hold for several minutes, the recording said “due to high call volume” and yet it also indicated that I was “number one” in line. That didn’t change after waiting even longer so I opted for leaving a message. 4 hrs. later I’m still waiting for a call back.
Fall from Grace- stayed here for the last 30 years and consistently declining in service and upgrades for the last 6 years...sadly won’t be staying here if I can find someone here else to stay. I’m bummed out because Tiburon Lodge was my my first choice.
