How to Get There
My husband and I spent 3 nights in San Francisco and came to Tiburon to spend 2 nights while seeing Muir Woods and other sights in the area. We fell in love with the beautiful and relaxing atmosphere of Tiburon, and the Lodge at Tiburon was a comfortable and relaxing base to explore the area. The welcoming and friendly staff were helpful and informative in answering questions. The pleasant courtyard with fireplace was perfect to enjoy a glass of wine from the Tiburon Tavern (on site) on a cool Bay Area evening. There’s a pool and hot tub on site which we didn’t use, and a lovely herb/vegetable patch. The rooms are cleverly remodeled from what was once a basic lodge type hotel/motel, and are very comfortable and roomy-especially after a couple of nights in downtown San Francisco! It’s a short convenient walk to the waterfront and restaurants in town. There’s a nice market in case you want sandwiches or othe supplies to take when exploring the area. Love the town, love the area, and would definitely stay at the Lodge at Tiburon again!
Stayed here on a whim, would not stay here again. Bed was uncomfortable, room is shabby and they wanted to charge me more money for an upgraded room? It was on the third floor and the only thing that made it an upgrade. I refused, saying there was nothing upgraded with what we got.
Best hidden secret in the Bay Area. Very short 15 min drive to city. Depending on destination in city. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting the BEST. Food was exceptional quality. Beds were extremely comfortable. Can’t say enough.
Stayed here for 3 nights, good rooms and excellent place to unwind after exploring SF, take a ferry nearby for pier 39. Supermarket and restaurants close by, very reasonable rates compared to SF and most important free parking.
The Lodge at Tiburon is lovely! Perfect location for trails, restaurants and shopping. The staff was very helpful. We were in town for a family get together and there was plenty of room for us to spread out and visit.
