The Lowdown

There’s another spectacular city by the bay, just across the Golden
Gate. San Francisco’s neighbor to the north is home to breathtaking
views, noteworthy dining and California-cool sophistication, and Acqua
Hotel is the perfect place to appreciate these incredible surroundings.
Situated
in Mill Valley, beside the tranquil Richardson Bay, the property is a
contemporary oasis, brimming with serene comforts and exceptional
service, which have earned it plenty of ardent reviews and a TripAdvisor
Certificate of Excellence. Inspired by the local land, sea and sky, the
hotel combines soft blues and greens to zen-like effect, with a modern
spiral staircase that leads down to a peaceful waterfront.
The
Marin County locale boasts a wide range of exciting sights and
diversions to discover, too; home to the impressive Mount Tamalpais, the
Point Reyes National Seashore, Muir Woods and a host of Pacific vistas
to the west, the area is a wanderer’s delight. It’s also a foodie
paradise, with leading wineries or restaurants north, south and east –
so after you drink it all in, it’s time to eat.

at sunrise and sunset.California is home to some of the world’s
best restaurants, and many of these are also easily accessible from

I reserve a room for my mothers 81st birthday . I mentioned I would like to have a full water view and privacy for her to have a special& relaxing time and the person I talked too she confirmed that , when we arrived they gave us room all the way down in the hall next to garbage and right by the free freeway , I said this to not what I asked for then manager( Genevieve if I am right ) got involved which she was not helpful at all I told her she can’t walk all the way to the end of hall way She said we have a elevator another room upstairs . So we went up , all the way down in the hall was above the first room they showed us Well we had no choice . She said there is nothing I can do ( This was Monday night )and of course money was not refundable so we had to stay ,. Thanks u made mother birthday very special . So till 3 am we were up because we were not able to sleep due to the traffic and freeway Around that time we slept Window was open to get fresh air since smell of pee was coming from hall way . By 7;30 am a painter right front of our window on the lather covering windows to paint outside the building , how cool is that so we had to rush close the window since I was in bed still. and we packed after breakfast we left ..( breakfast was good ) I made my mother birthday SOo special by choosing wrong place to stay over night . Definitely NOT recommended .

Aqua hotel was very accommodating as there was an issue with a nearby hotel. We were skeptical at first but once we were greeted by the front desk, all the fears disappeared.

The rooms are great and the “backyard” has a magnificent view. Hotel offers complimentary wine and cheese! Pair this with a relaxing time by the water and you won’t need anything else!

Glad this worked out for us and we will definitely be back once in the area. Highly recommended.
