How to Get There
We stayed 2 nights in Mill Valley on our way to Sonoma. We had a fantastic water view with a very nice room. The hotel breakfast is superb, with multiple options and the dining room has a wonderful view of the water (which is a small segment of the Bay). The staff was extremely nice and helpful. There are (4) excellent condition bikes that they allow you to use for a morning or afternoon as available. They have immediate access to a fantastic biking trail system that gets you all around the Mill Valley community and waterfront area.
My mother, daughter and I stayed at Acqua Hotel Mill Valley on a trip to the Bay area for a wedding. Acqua Hotel was very clean, and quiet (considering its proximity to the 101 FWY). The staff is friendly, efficient and helpful. Check in was quick. When I requested additional blankets for the room, the blankets were brought up within minutes. The free bicycle rental and evening wine and cheese/cookies are also a nice touch. The location is definitely a plus - 25 minutes into the city and very close to Sausalito, Deer Valley and other Bay Area cities. Would definitely stay again when in the area.
